A very nice game with lots of cool story, and it gets very interesting. You get all these cool power ups. It's a good game. I like that it has voice acting. But it also has the written words to read if you are deaf. :)

Just note that if you don't like G5 ponies, you may not enjoy this game. That being said......1-5 break-down Graphics: 4.0 - They get the job done, but could have been better animated in my personal opinion. Something seems a bit off with how Pipp is colored, but otherwise, everypony else seems fine. The 3d environments have some good detail, but I wish the character models could have almost the same level of detail. Specifically, the characters look a bit matte and not very fluffy, but you can really only do so much with rendering and I'm sure it would have taken longer and cost more to implement it. Sound: 4.0 - I can tell a lot of love went into making sure the voice-overs were spot on, but I'm not sure if the original VAs from MYM were involved here. I can tell Zipp's voice is very different from the series cast. Still, they get the job done and move the story along well. Music: 4.5 - Show Me Your Pony Moves is available in a mini-game, so that puts this one at least .5 higher than sound effects/voice overs. The music is cheerful and well done here. Gameplay: 3.5 - As much as I like the gameplay, it isn't for everyone and I feel the game could have been better optimized as I noticed some major stuttering during some of the mini games. It really hurts the overall when the game is based mainly on completing some simple, but fun, mini games. Overall: 4.0 - It's simple, but fun to get into. Anyone of any age will appreciate the simplicity of the game and the ease of the collectables and missions. It may be a bit too simplistic for older people, but otherwise, it's still a fun ride. I do suggest buying it on sale as the game is short for the price, but even at full price, it's not the end of the world and the collect-a-thon gameplay isn't too tedious. You even get to decorate inside the Crystal Brighthouse. That's gotta count for somehting, am I right? Either way, fans of simplistic gameplay and the generation will have some fun from this. Being able to select Pipp Petals was enough for me to get into this one and enjoy what it has to offer.

Overall Impression: C-. For small kids, I can barely recommend the main story line. If you have a child who is going to want to 100% the game, they are going to get frustrated by the running around and lack of real direction to get all the achievements and items. While bigger than the first of the series, it seems to be lacking some of the TLC the previous game got. While there are wonderful views and art, this one does not have the soul the previous one did. I would not recommend this game at full price at all. Wait for a discount.

The graphics and areas were a nice upgrade compared to the previous game, A Maretime Bay Adventure. Completing the main story took around 4 hours. Be prepared to set aside some time in the post game for side quests if you're going for 100% completion. My only complaints were that the game stutters a little bit every now and then, and there's no graphics adjustment option. If you want to buy the game though, I suggest waiting for a sale.

No graphics settings. Screen flickers after a couple of minutes, then goes dark. You have to alt tab to make it work again. No option to change full screen, windowed or otherwise. Game seems to be made using Unity.
