Fun game, fun with friends. Bought it only because it was 90% off. Down voting because: This, like other Ubisoft games, CANNOT be played without an internet connection. Even if you want to play SINGLE PLAYER. If you have common internet connection issues, do not purchase this game. You won't be able to enjoy it. Expect to be kicked back to the main menu randomly whenever Ubi servers have a hiccup, and losing your progress, even if you're playing by yourself. Also keep in mind, you're paying money to essentially "rent" this title from Ubisoft. When they decide to sunset online support for Breakpoint down the road, they can just decide to revoke your license for it (as they did with The Crew). DRM -> 💩

First and foremost, don't let my low gameplay hours fool you. Back during the launch of 2019, I bought this game via the UPlay store and sunk ~20 hours into it. After reading lots about how much the post-launch updates improved the game, I recently picked it up on Steam's deep sale. Unfortunately, it's still a swing and a miss. First off, the positives. The immersive mode update was a huge step in the right direction. It opens the game up and makes it feel much more like GR Wildlands which was a fantastic game. The gameplay mechanics, skill trees, etc., are legitimately good and fans of military/tactical gameplay will have a lot to drool over, here. Gear customization is detailed with tons of armor and weaponry to choose from. This was part of why I gave it another shot, but unfortunately that was not enough to keep me going. The UI is HORRENDOUS and overwhelming, with no clear direction. Furthermore, the campaign is split into 3 different acts, each of which can be started and played simultaneously, causing lots of confusion. Beyond that, the mission types are both generic and randomly spread out over the map. As an example, the very first main mission takes you all the way to the edge of the playable map which is over 5km away from your starting camp. Then you talk to one guy and receive another main mission 3km back in the direction you just came from. Rinse and repeat. It's all so disjointed with no meaningful direction. The campaign is unanimously considered to be very poor both in terms of story and in execution, meaning the only redeeming quality of Breakpoint is the mil-sim-lite gameplay, itself. If you enjoy a good story and structured framework for your video games (i.e. a true campaign), look elsewhere.

I pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition when I was on PS4 and I played it when the game was released, it was quite a disappointment to me. I've been a big fan of Ghost Recon due to it's gameplay and makes you feel like a "Secret Soldier". But then I bought another Ultimate Edition on PC (70% off), and surprisingly after a lot of update, the game gameplay was quite fun especially if you're playing with friends, giving you the feel of being a "Secret Soldier" aka Ghost and the combat and animation was so smooth, some of the features and mechanics is good because of the realism and at the same time also annoying. Can't say much about the open world because... you know how Ubisoft open world games is like (absolutely empty). The cons is the story was meh and I do think they wasted Jon Bernthal's performance, he really is a good actor but writing for the "main antagonist" was not strong enough and it seems like the story was quite in a rush and missing the build up to the climax. I don't mind with the gear level at much since it was quite easy to level up your gear level. Also the quest and progression design, it is really bad like you can do whatever mission you want, at least they should've give player a guide to which mission to do first. Should you buy it? Yes if it's have a discount and not in a full price plus buy it with the season pass for additional content and full experience (typical Ubisoft) Overall 7.5/10.

It doesn't work, the 71 minutes of me 'playing' is just myself trying to login into the fucking ubisoft launcher for that time. Either 'the service' isn't available and when it is it says I don't own the game. Thank you Ubisoft for providing a terrible experience again with your stupid launcher. Why do I need to be logged in anyway to play a game. Wish we could just play offline from steam. Refund requested.

A typical Ubisoft grind game. You need to do dumb quests, unlock the map and and do it all over again. Remember what Vaas was saying? The visuals were okay, close to good. However, I've helped random strangers with their daily routines in the Far Cry series so many times that I'm done. By the way, here’s the recipe for a typical Ubisoft scenario:

Player got lost in some sh*thole. He ain't familiar with the location. So the player needs to grow their network, make friends to defeat the "big bad" after 30-40 hours of grind.
Optionally, throw in some idiotic deception story.
And of course, to keep that signature Ubisoft style, add female characters who "prove" their independence and totally not being a dishwasher by acting like average as*holes, with no good upbringing, showcasing the 50 shades of fatherless behavior.
90% off. Not even worth it at that price. Loved the first game, so buy this many years later with friend. Fight Ubisoft Connect. Fight with the launcher for over an hour just to launch the game for this first time. Get the game working, doesn't run well. Reduce settings, somehow runs far worse. Set them back to high. "DON'T FORGET TO BUY TOMB RAIDER" Connect with friend. Fix constant camera panning in settings. "PREPARE FOR THE PVP RAID MODE BUY THIS DLC" Spend 20 minutes trying to complete first objective. Turns out it was bugged and a body never spawned. Lose connection to Ubisoft Connect. Have to start over. "PURCHASE THIS EXTRA CRAP FOR THIS GAME" Play game uninterrupted for 30 minutes. Lose connection to Ubisoft Connect. Refund game.

This game is buggy as all hell, and the story is nonsensical garbage. However, I don’t think anyone cares about Ghost Recon stories since GRAW. The gunplay and stealth is really fun though. I recommend if you like arcade military shooters with decent stealth mechanics. IMO it’s completely worth it at the $6 price point it’s at now. Don’t buy at full price

Game is good but the why to start the game is very bad. The Launcher is really bad idea. Also I missed to read that I need to be ONLINE to play this game. Wish I saw that earlier, as I crossed over 6 hrs in game and lost my chance of refund. Note to self : no more ubisoft games

A fun buggy game with friends. Story is trash but gunplay is good. It's worth it when on sale. Don't buy at full price
