This game is possible to 100% complete in the span of a single day. I should know, as I just did that. Bear that in mind if you're looking to purchase it.
Despite its short length, I loved playing this game. The combat was fun, the platforming not bad at all, and the level design was enjoyable to play through.
Now, there were a few points of annoyance for me. You cannot dash while not already moving for some reason. The button just doesn't do anything by itself. This combines with the fact that you lose all momentum when you get hit to result in a number of situations where you will attempt to dodge and fail to. Also, dying between save spots just reverts your save, meaning that you will essentially have to retrace your steps to pick up all the items you picked up last time before you died. While the music is good, the tracks repeat just a bit too often for how much time you'll be spending in their respective areas.
The bosses are easy-ish, but all of them except for one (Got a bit aHEAD of himself. Should have quit while he was aHEAD. Needs to get his HEAD in the game.) are fairly engaging, with neat character designs and attacks. On that note, the animations in this game are phenomenal. I love the designs of the enemies and the player character, although there is little enemy variety across the different areas. The sound design is wonderful, and I like the way the menus are themed like a little notebook.
My only wish is that there were more of it. As such, I'd recommend this game to anyone who doesn't mind the lack of length.
