Excellent route- my favourite in the game. Provides a mix of stopping services in to London and semi-fast and express up to Ipswich. It is well detailed, not amazing but decent. The Class 360 is good, nice cab view and externals- ok passenger view. It also comes with plenty of good scenarios for the route. ***BUY IT AS PART OF THE UK COLLECTION*** Same price but comes with Class 66, Class 90, Class 444 and the Portsmouth Direct Line- all essentially for free, and even better if you get it in the sale. DO NOT be fooled by the Class 90 or Class 66 twin packs- £5 extra for a train you can get for 'free' in the UK collection, along with more. Complete rip off! Other than this though- this is a great route that will provide hours of gameplay.

This is my favourite route on Train Simulator and I have many! The route is very well detailed and the EMU is also one of my favourites. A very well put together route. Just a shame it doe not go all the way to Norwich or the Clacton branch. This would be a very good route on TWS

I got this route in a bundle and on sale, so if it weren't for those 2 factors, this would have been refunded already. While this is one of the longer routes in TS, it constantly reminds you that it is a half-assed job at doing so. Station Platforms not showing and B2D crashes are a favorite party trick of this DLC, and you need to go into the asset editor to fix the problem as it has to do with graphical settings you run the game with. There is even a station placed incorrectly along the way. Whilst TS2016 is given a lot of hate for the amount of DLC and the prices of them, a majority of them are to a standard, and this is not one of them. Until these problems are fixed, don't buy. Put your money into another route.

I found that some people have some complaints about this route. About like the Mayflower Line that leads to Harwich Town that has no scenary (not complete). I still recommend this DLC and I liked the Class 360 and it even has a passenger view.

I agree with Andy250 but it's a decent route and Includes a class 360 which is very acuarate.Plus the stations disapear and all you need to do is go into editor and set the detail to 10!

Constantly crashes - very annoying. Odd signal work. One of the scenarios allows you to approach the very last signal but is red so you cannot pass. Another scenario makes you stop at red, and when the signal changes to green, as you proceed toward it, it switches to red and game over!

I sincerely recommend this Add-on for Train Simulator ! The GEML London-Ipswich road is my favourite road for this game and especially for the line part between Shenfield and Ipswich ! I don't know why but the landscapes with many fields and many pretty town and cities make me feel something special, something warm... The line is really long too : the line between London Liverpool Street and Ipswich is more than 70 miles (120 km) long and you have to add to this length the Braintree branch (10 miles) and the Felixstowe branch (20 miles) ! My only regret is that DTG didn't make the scenery for the Hartwich branch... I hardly recommend to you to buy this line with the Class 90 DLC which is, to my mind, the best locomotive for Train Simulator ! A french player who loves English lines ! :)

Nice route out of London. My only two complaints are the Mayflower Line not being included (the route to Harwich), and the fact than whenever I use the Free roam camera, the game crashes if there is a Class 360 on the route. Overall, I give the route a 7/10.

The GEML route certainly caters towards the needs of drivers with decent oppertunities to run all sorts of services from local commuter trains, fast expresses and even freight. When it first came out fps issues weren't uncommon due to the limitations of TS being at 32bit but now with 64bit performance has certainly improved. Straight out of the box you only get the Class 360 but other add-ons are available including several "Pro's" and to top it off these are done by Armstrong Powerhouse so good quality is assured. The majority of passenger scenarios will run between London Liverpool Street out to Ipswich covering 70 milles. Freight scenarios will make use of the branch towards Felixstowe with it's container yard and docks. For those that still want to make the best use of the GEML, Just Trains has a upgrade that add's scenery to the line between towards Harwich from Manningtree provding another 11 miles including the freight yard at Harwich. For those interested here's the link: https://www.justtrains.net/product/the-mayflower-line-geml-manningtree-harwich-upgrade I enjoy the route alot so it's a 9/10 from me.

In depth review. Looks good when you first purchase the line, but as you start to play with QD and do the Scenario's the tell tale DTG signs of un-finished work pop up... Some of the station's dont even appear, so you need to go into the editor to sort that problem. The Harwich Harbour section is not available in QD, as they've not even bothered to finish doing it!! There are no marker boards outside Chelmsford station telling you there is a new speed limit, heading towards London. Scenario's: All work apart from : It's Snow Fun as the timing is totally out so have no chance of staying on schedule. The train is good, the sound effects are nothing special. Though that I'm personally not to worried about. IS IT VALUE FOR MONEY? At list price of £24. Most certainly not, to many mistakes with the core level, as above. What about on discount? If your prepared to put up with the fault's/error's yes. What about in a bundle. Yes, this is how I purchased this line along with another for just over £13. As the bundle had something like 65% discount in the winter sale. Do I use it? Yes, use it a lot for QD from driving trains up and down the uk. Felixstowe harbour is good asset to have. Not used at all by DTG in the scenario's which is a shame. Have I got value for money from my purchase? Yes, as I got it heavly discounted, so I can live with the problems. Though think about this, you go to buy a car and when you get in it, to drive it away, the dashboard is missing?? Would you be happy? Also you have to ask this, if DTG staff where paying for this with THEIR wages, would they be happy??? I'll leave DTG to answer that one. Can I recommend this to you?? NO. It would be unfair to tell you it's 100% ready to go when it is not.
