Have you heard of games that are so low-quality that they're fun to make fun of? This is one of those games. But also is actually fun to play as a dreamworks-themed kart racer. It's no Mario Kart, that's for sure. But it is decently fun. King Julien my beloved lets ditch these other frauds in the dust!

This game is not that bad. I don't know why some people give negative reviews. This game also has positive features, for example, it has good graphics and you can play in split screen mode with your friends. The only bad things in my opinion are that the online mode is dead and I wish they would work a little on the voice acting.

Me and my Fiance are huge fans of the Mario Kart series, especially Double Dash. So keep that in mind as you read. This game had a lot of potential, but here are my biggest gripes. - You hear the characters voice lines, ALL THE TIME! You boost? Voice line. You get a Power-Up? Voice line. It becomes annoying quickly, especially if you're playing co-op. - They start you off with really weird controls, you can change them, but it just seems like it's in the most basic way as possible even when changing them. - The characters you can play as have terrible models, it's like development was cut short on this game or there was nobody to keep the game up to, literally ANY standard. -The choices that were made for different things is also kind of weird. Some of the Karts are obvious, but having Hiccup literally ride in a Kart that seems to be made out of Toothless is kind of weird. Same with Donkey riding his Dragon Wife. Just odd choices. - The music you race to, if it's not the same each time; I didn't notice. That's how bad it is and the weird thing about it, is that it's weirdly rock styled music, nothing cute and bubbly like you'd expect. And if Mario Kart N64 can give me a song for each map, I have no earthly idea why this game couldn't. - They have power-ups, but also "Troll Power" or something like that. Which is like a mini-game within the racing, where you have to collect these notes to get boosts, or other things. And it's not terrible, I feel like it's superfluous and that the game would be better with it gone since it seems to really clutter up the race track. To be honest, the racing isn't terrible. For an 80% discount, it's okay and a closer facsimile to Mario Kart than some of the other MK like games. Such as: - Co-Op Grand Prix mode - Hop/Drift Mechanics I played the game a little under a couple hours with my Fiance at the time of writing this. We did 2 Prix's and I came in first without any issue whatsoever, nearly lapping the NPC's during a couple races. Maybe worth it at a %80 Discount, but definitely not at $40.

This game, so far, has been a miserable and soul-crushing experience. The visuals, audio, and music are alright with nothing that stands out majorly. The voices are constant and unbearable and I had to turn off the vocal audio. The default control scheme is awkward, but can be easily fixed with a reconfiguration. The first speed is insanely slow, making it a slog to get through even one race. The challenges are fine, though the later challenges and boss races can be a bit too difficult. The time trials wildly vary in difficulty and feel artificial, with some feeling too unfair, regardless of your character and kart parts of choice. The roster is what you'd expect, with some that should have been replaced with more likable characters. The difficulty spike once you reach the third speed is unforgiving and inexcusable, especially since this is meant to be a racing game for kids. Unlocking all the kart parts for every character requires way too many races and honestly feels inflated to force players to play the game longer than anyone should. It's possible once you've completely finished the game that you'll have raced over 1,000 times to unlock all the characters and kart parts, beat all the time trials, and complete the challenges. It fails as a kids kart racer and is a nightmare for completionists.
