Old school TD, very nostalgic for players who played custom maps in Warcraft3/Starcraft!

Competent TD, looks pretty, favors efficiency, a good challenge with some micro.

Defense Grid and Kingdom Rush are much better. Artisan TD is about building a perfect maze, and the tricks in the levels make you start over and over. For example, at wave 5 some flyers went off board, out of reach of all but one kind of turret, placed against that edge. You couldn't expect that so you restart taking that into account. The information about coming waves is often hidden. You have to restart, over and over.

Not bad. Generally it's a good game, the only part missing is replayability. Once you finished, you don't want to play again.

Classic TD. Looks nice, Content to Price-ratio is okay. 60 Hours 100% completion. Very easy to very hard, depending on mode.

Very low quality of Tower Defense Boring towers and it is all about placing correct tower to correct location. There is no rewards for getting stars or challenges done. Like in Kingdom Rush where you can buy upgrades with stars. This is as many says a Puzzle game, not a Tower Defense. Not worth in full price, buy only when 50% or more discount

This is a refreshing take on the Tower Defense genre, not only do you get to select where to put the towers, you can create the paths that the waves of enemies will use. Create your own labyrinth of death with the available resources, if you fail, try try again. I very much enjoyed this game, allowed me to play the game the way I want to play instead of restricting player options and ensures that there is replay value to discover more efficient and deadly paths for your enemies. Props to the developers to put the power in the hands of the player.

Smashing little tower defence game. Just hard enough to keep you challenged, and if a level really has you beat you can use the new Prince mode to get a few extras to help you clear that tricky level. Of course, there are several level of difficulty available too so you have no need to get stuck on a level and have you starting thinking have I wasted my money. Graphics are up to snuff too. This game has that, "I'll just give it one more go" that frankly we all want to see in our action games. Challenging but fun. Should be on your Definitely Must Buy list. Thanks for reading my review :)

I hate this game. And i've also played it a lot more than 2 hours since i've been playing in offline mode, so it's not just an initial impression or lack of understanding of the game that makes me hate it. The review below should show that I've got some indepth knowledge of the game. It's not a tower defense game; it's a puzzle game. There's one, and only one, way to complete each level. You have to build a certain tower in a specific way, in a specific order. The entire game is "master says, monkey do," where you are the monkey—if you don't play exactly as you've been ordered, you lose instantly. And the loss happens regardless of the difficulty level. I played on the easiest difficulty with the new helper feature that makes the game easier, and still got totally dominated and crushed every time, every map. And the worst part is that the game is designed for this puzzle-style gameplay because it's possible to restart the map from each wave. You can press escape during a level and then press "restart from wave x," so the idea is that you should restart each level and wave multiple times to optimize your play. Then, of course, the game has interest too. If you play tower defense games to build towers, stop right here—this game wants you to build as few towers as possible to maximize interest so you can get more money. Who likes interest in tower defense games? "Yeah, let's buy a tower defense game that’s about building towers... and then not build towers?" Did you beat wave 4? Restart wave 4 but build one less tower or one less upgrade to see if you can save 10 gold and get even more interest. How is this fun? The maps are also worthless, designed to tease you. Oh, you want to build a maze that goes around two turns? Almost, it’s just one tile short. Every map in the game: "Okay, new map, here I can build a circle so the creeps must go around the circle twice," nope, there's a sand pit right in the middle so it’s just impossible to build it that way. The maps are designed to mess with you and tease you; first, they probably made a normal map, then they investigated how to build different mazes on it, and then they threw in sand, lava, and other trash to mess with you and prevent you from building how you want. As I said earlier, this is the biggest issue with the game: you play as you're ordered, or you don't play at all. The towers are okay; there are some towers with interesting designs, but the upgrades are boring and barely do anything, except for the last one that upgrades the tower to elite status. However, the problem is the same as before: "master orders, monkey do." You can't have as many elite upgrades as you want, just a certain number per map, and not only that, you don’t even get to choose which towers you want to upgrade to elite, it's already been decided for you. On level 7, you can only upgrade the ice tower to elite, nothing else, while on level 11 you can upgrade two archers and a catapult tower to elite. But if you want to upgrade your ice tower to elite on level 11? Too bad, you can’t, the master hasn’t ordered it, so the monkey can't do it. On level 11, you must play in a certain way, and no other way. Here, you as the player don’t decide how to play, the master has already decided for you. The game has a positive rating of 88% as of this review, and I can't understand why. I love tower defense games and have played tons of them, both here and on flash sites when I was younger, but this is, as I said, not a tower defense game, it’s a puzzle game. I usually finish every game I’ve bought since I’ve spent money on them, but this is one of the few I will not finish. You just get angry every time you start it and try a map, even on the easiest difficulty with the help feature on… So don’t be fooled by the high rating of this game; it's given by people who’ve only played for an hour or two and think "well, there’s nothing wrong here," or by people who like puzzle games. Only buy this game if: 1. You like puzzle games. 2. You enjoy optimizing things, playing the same map over and over, every wave repeatedly, to complete it with as much money in the bank as possible via the interest system. 3. You like following orders, you're a follower, not a leader. You enjoy when everything is already planned for you, and you just do as you're told. 4. You've played every other tower defense game on Steam. There are tons of better TDs out there. Alternatively, if you want to save some money, watch a walkthrough of the game on YouTube because that person playing in the video is playing exactly how you will. As mentioned before, there's one, and only one, way to win every level, so if you'd bought the game, you’d play it exactly like in the YouTube video. If you want to beat the level, that is."
