I hated this game. It's terrible. Looks nice though, so, well done on that part, I guess?

Very Hard game, but kinda fun, if you are someone who like the old school Resident Evil games.
Now keep in mind, this game is more harder then even the old school RE games, harder than RE1's Chris story mode.
for me personally, I liked the game.
I would like to note about the piano puzzle (if you are using a controller), when entering the four correct Piano keys via the controller, two of the piano keys, the game marks it as wrong, even though they are the correct keys. In the end, I ended up having to use the Mouse, just to get past that puzzle.
Please keep in that mind, if you are going to play this game with a controller. that the only one puzzle, that seem to have a problem with the controllers.

A really good game, especially at its price point. The developer did a great job. It's definitely a love letter to the old Resident Evil games and definitely takes a ton of inspiration from them.
Pros:
Combat is very straight forward and the handgun has a laser sight option to make targeted shots easier. Weapon variety is very limited to only a handgun and a shotgun. I would've liked to have seen a melee weapon somewhere, but that's okay. There's enough ammo that you don't really need melee, especially if you explore.
While enemy variety is extremely limited, the enemies are strategically placed and well done. Boss fights are fairly simple and are fairly balanced. There's enough ammo at the boss fights in case you're running out. It's still best to conserve though, as you never know when you'll need it.
The story is simple and straightforward and exploring the mansion isn't really as bad as people make it seem without a map. I never really got lost.
Cats! There's a cat in every save room. You can pet the cats. There really should be an achievement for this lol
Cons:
Saving is unlimited, however there is only one save slot. I don't really like that very much. I'd rather trade that for limited saves but having multiple slots.
Chris Redfield sized pockets: You're limited to six item slots. This can be cumbersome. 8 slots would've been better, or at least have a side pack we could find 50% through the game to increase our inventory 1 or 2 spaces, that way the 6 slot rule applies most of the game. Which leads to my final con...
Item boxes are not linked and have limited spaces. I get why this a thing, but it really is a chore. I don't mind the 6 slots as much as the item boxes not being linked together. This makes far more backtracking than necessary, even way more than the old RE games had. That's why I say a better balance would be to either give linked boxes, or definitely more inventory slots, or maybe make it so the primary weapon equipped doesn't take a slot. Something of that nature. This doesn't ruin the game, but it's more a QoL feature that would be extremely welcome.
Overall I highly recommend buying this game if you like the original Resident Evil games. I really hope to see more from this developer in the future! Thanks again for a great game!
