Invasion of the Buffet Snatchers is a simple, fun but challenging single screen arcade game with nice pixelart. Serve the aliens what they want to get rid of them, serve them incorrectly repeatedly and they'll get mad. If you don't serve them quick enough they'll help themselves, if they manage to clear a buffet it's game over. Make combos by serving the aliens multiple dishes at once to score big and become top chef!
There are three levels, a chicken, a sushi and a pizza buffet. Each level has 10 rounds with the final one a boss level. Beat the third boss and you start over with the second loop a bit more difficult.
Shooting diagonally is a bit hard on controller or gamepad. It's fine while moving but when you stop a diagonal often reverts to horizontal or vertical. The game would probably be more controller friendly as 8-directional twin stick shooter or with a "hold in place" button.
My button mashing days are behind me. So I mapped Steam's turbo fire to an additional button.
The game would benefit from an online leaderboard and a couple achievements.
