This game was hands down one of the best games ive played in a while, was very into the oldbatman games growing up and with the new combat system from arkham, it helps keep you from getting bored constantly just spamming one button. the story was by far the most entertaining byyyyy far. i didnt relize the old lego games dont have alot of voice acting and this one is like watching a lego movie all in one, didint skip a cutscene which is rare because i usally dont enjoy singleplayer games. would rate this game a 9/10 purely off story and mechanics, only downside is the limited ability of customizing the batcave you are limited to a couple of flat brick flooring, wish you could add buildings anywhere.

This game is a true love letter to batman and his entire legacy. PROS: Graphics: This is by far the most insane looking lego game ever made. The detail is ridiculous. Its almost like using real legos, all the way down to the shine on the plastic, or the fabric detail on the capes. Its unbelivable. Not to mention the world building is fantastic, gotham looks SO good in this game. Truthfully beautiful. Gameplay - Fantastic gameplay. There is plenty of things to do, plenty of secrets to find. Fantastic Arkham style combat as well with multiple skill unlocks to keep you busy. Multiple characters to play as, each with their own little style and weapon choice. Puzzles everywhere to unlock and discover; Overall this game is so fun and is going to keep you busy for a long time. Music - The music in this game is very good, with some old school call out classics as well. Plenty of pop culture references in this game outside of batman that only older adults will recognize (like a dirty dancing scene for example). Overall good solid score here. Difficulty - The game is not difficult at all, with some ways to turn up the heat but overall its pretty straightforward. Its a lego game so, i wouldnt expect insane difficulty here. Value - The game has insane value. The amount of unlocks are unreal, over 100 suits alone, multiple vehicles for ALL characters, multiple suits for all characters. Its wild what you can unlock in this game. The value is 100% there no questions asked. CONS: Repetitive Combat - The combat while it is fun and engaging unfortunately can get repetitive very quickly. There is some unlocks you can get for it, but overall it is a very simplistic version of the arkham style combat stripped down for this lego game. Is it fun? sure of course, but it becomes same button over and over very quickly. It opens up the most towards the end of the game when you have all your characters and abilities. Story pacing - This is the biggest problem in this game. While i respect and appreciate that it tries to explore MANY aspects of batmans history, the problem is theyre trying to fit decades of history for batman in just 6 chapters that are relatively short from a story perspective. The game feels very rushed as each chapter represents a point in history for batman. I feel like they should have buckled down and chose a specific point in batmans history and fleshed that out completely instead of trying to do everything at once. The story is fine and its fun, but it is extremely rushed in the way it feels. Overall Lego batman: Legacy of the dark knight is a fantastic video game and truly a great stand alone title even if you dont normally play lego games. You will find alot of fun to be had here and if you are a batman fan, you will appreciate alot of the call backs. Thanks for reading.

This has been the best of the Arkham games and the Lego Batman games all meshed into one. The story elements that I have experienced so far have been hilariously put together and I can't wait to see what other whacky mixups from the comics, movies, and games they have in store.

I Tried Really hard to like it, sunk almost 30 hours into the game. The story is fun, lots of references and what you would expect from a lego game however, It doesnt play like a lego game, red bricks do nothing, theres no gold bricks, no modifiers, nothing to do other than open repetive boxes and I guess do the puzzles. You are limited to 7 characters and a whole lotta bat suits. The batcave is cool, the graphics look nice on my end but you shouldnt need to own a NASA Super computer to run a lego game, Comparing this game to even just lego batman 2, this game barley has any vehicles, unlockables things to spend studs on, it lacks conent in general compared to a 14 yearold game. weve lost the plot.

I went in for the usual Lego Batman fun, but holy hell — Lego Catwoman is so hot in this game it’s actually unfair. The graphics are insane for a Lego title: super sharp, glossy, and detailed. Her sleek black catsuit, that confident strut, the whip, the smirk, and those curves on a minifigure? It’s pure fire. The animations make her move in such a teasing, fluid way that you can’t stop staring. You genuinely can’t jerk off to her minifigure in these insane graphics without feeling like a degenerate legend. The game itself is solid Lego stuff (co-op, building, collecting), but I just kept replaying her sections. Final Verdict: 10/10 claws. Catwoman carries the whole game. Would get whipped again.

I have never been this much Batman in my entire life. 31 hours in and I've saved Gotham more times than I can count, smashed villains into brick form, and somehow got a little choked up over a LEGO bat. This game knows exactly what it is — charming, cozy, stuffed with characters, and the perfect amount of chaos in co-op. It's fun in that way that makes you lose all track of time. Great solo, even better on the couch with someone next to you. Am I Batman now? I'm Batman now. 5/5 🦇

I really love movies and games related to Batman. I used to play the previous Lego games, and in this one, they've improved absolutely everything—from the graphics to the tiniest details. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3753632702

NEW EDIT: OK, I have to admit the game is fun and beautiful. HOWEVER, my problem with it is that it is obvious that they held back on content just to sell expansions. I get it, we all like money, but what ever happened to just releasing a complete game? That's what I expected with an almost $100 price tag. OLD REVIEW: I have played nearly every Lego game ever made; this is NOT worth the money. This game removed a lot that I love about other Lego games. The best thing was Gotham's design (it is truly moody and beautiful), but the collectables and puzzles in the open world Gotham are repetitive; I have yet to find an open world quest outside of the main story that isn't just a puzzle. There are only a handful of characters to unlock and I cannot play any villains at all. There are no red bricks (they are only cosmetic additions to vehicles now). The levels aren't worth replaying (they unlock boring, simple cosmetics). The Batcave could have been amazing, but it is just huge and boring. Buyable cosmetics/items are basic and boring (seriously, simple boxes of different colors labeled as "character" crates, basic traffic cones, "art" that is just colored blocks? What were you thinking?). I am very upset that I spent so much money on this. It looks like they're leaning the way of expansions to add game content that should have been there in the first place. The main story is good, but barely took 15 hours (I spent a few additional hours doing Gotham quests that felt very repetitive). For a nearly $100 game, that is ridiculous for only ~15 hours of good gameplay. Lego, do better.

This game just sucks. The graphics are way too good. The gameplay isn't repetitive. The combat is just a copy and paste from Arkham games which have some of the best combat in gaming. And the story has too much in it for me not to play this game. And my last complaint is that the games open world system is simply just too good.

TL;DR: A very enjoyable LEGO Batman game that successfully mixes classic LEGO charm with a more ambitious open-world Gotham and combat clearly inspired by the Arkham formula. It is not perfect, but for Batman fans and LEGO game fans, it is absolutely worth playing. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight feels like a love letter to Batman as a character, not just another LEGO adaptation. The game brings together the humor, collectibles, co-op-friendly design, and lighthearted tone that TT Games is known for, while also trying to make the moment-to-moment gameplay feel more modern and action-focused. The biggest strength is the atmosphere of Gotham. Even in LEGO form, the city has personality: rooftops, alleys, recognizable Batman iconography, and plenty of small details that make exploration satisfying. It does not try to be as dark or intense as the Arkham games, but it captures the fantasy of being Batman in a fun, accessible way. Combat is also much better than I expected from a LEGO title. It is clearly inspired by the Arkham-style free-flow system, with counters, gadgets, finishers, and crowd control playing a larger role than in older LEGO games. It is still simple enough to remain family-friendly, but it has enough weight and rhythm to keep the gameplay from feeling completely mindless. The classic LEGO formula is still here: breaking objects, collecting studs, solving environmental puzzles, unlocking characters, revisiting areas, and chasing completion. If you enjoy collectathons, this game gives you plenty to do. The structure works especially well because Batman’s world naturally fits gadgets, secrets, hidden routes, and character-specific abilities. The humor is another highlight. The game understands that Batman can be dramatic and ridiculous at the same time. It plays with familiar characters and references without completely turning the story into parody. That balance is important, because the game still lets Batman feel cool while allowing the LEGO comedy to land. That said, the game has some weaknesses. The combat, while fun, can become repetitive after longer sessions. Some upgrades are not as exciting as they should be, and the difficulty does not always push the player very hard. If you are expecting something as deep or demanding as the Arkham series, this is not that. It borrows from Arkham, but it remains a LEGO game first. The open world is enjoyable, but it can also feel checklist-heavy. There is a lot to collect and discover, but not every activity is equally interesting. Some side content feels like filler, especially if you are not already motivated by completion. The game can also have the usual LEGO-game rough edges: small bugs, occasional awkward camera moments, and moments where puzzles or interactions are less smooth than they should be. Nothing ruined the experience for me, but the lack of polish is noticeable from time to time. Overall, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a strong entry in the LEGO game series and one of the most enjoyable Batman games outside the main Arkham titles. It is charming, packed with fan service, fun to explore, and easy to recommend if you like Batman, LEGO games, or casual action-adventure games with a lot of collectibles. Recommended, especially for Batman fans and players who enjoy relaxed completion-focused games.
