"Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes" is a nice spinoff of the iconic "Might and Magic"-series, taking place before "Heroes of Might and Magic 5". Originally released for handheld, this ported version is a way to play it on steam. It is an unique strategy-puzzler: The mechanics are simple but deep; it is quite intriguing overall. The story is kind of standard, but okay, the five different campaigns can feel a little bit samey, but the factions play different enough and you get some challenges in terms of puzzle-battles and unique enemy encounters. That being said: Some unit combination feel stronger than others and the artifacts vary in terms of general strength and usability. The final campaign
is a big gauntlet and not very diverse. You play every character at least once which is nice, but the final boss is quite challenging and sadly your spell (that you want at lvl 10, so grind a little) has random chance to hit or miss him
Still there is quite some fun to be had; the singleplayer can be 100% casually in around 25 hours plus you get the multiplayer that can be quite endearing. I like the franchise and follow it for decades now and this one is a really off entry that deserves a closer look. Give it a try, if you are a strategy fan.

Gah, what a world we live in that a company revived this little gem. It's a 10-15 hour campaign with some engaging puzzle mechanics, a little on the childish side sure, but still thoroughly enjoyable. Upon completion you can play online coop or solo ranked, and man i spent hundreds of hours in those when the game was initially released. Fans of the original will love this for the slight upgrades but overall it's a replication and lovely.
