This is a hard negative review cause it feels like the kind of game I would make but in the end, it's not really a great roguelike. - The meta is underwhelming to say the least. It doesn't have a significant impact of the gameplay. - Only 2 "classes" (characters, really), one range, one melee. The melee one cannot be properly played manually cause you just take too much damage too quickly so it is relayed to the AI thus you only play the range class. - The controls are weird. I don't know if it's my setup (nothing out of the ordinary to be honest) but if I play with the controller, I can't see what the items or skills do because I have to mouseover to make the tooltips appear(?!?). First time I've ever seen that. - Once you've beaten the game, there is no point in doing it again. The bosses are the same, the skills are the same, the stages are... you get it. There are some plusses though : - The AI part is a good idea. I just wished it would be used in additional ways. For now it's only "AI should be near you" or "AI should be far away". The controls for the AI are really simple but they work properly and the AI will become your second character if your main dies. It will also revive you using some of it's health once the stage you're on is over. - The skills are okay-ish BUT the possibility to chose from a range of type of skills is a neat idea. You only have 2 characters (1 really playable as aforementioned) but you can choose which type of skills they both can use, you have 6-7 to chose from ranging from neutral to different types of magical skills. This is nice. You can also chose what your AI will don as skills during the run so you can build a synergy between the 2 characters. But, that being said, it's bland. The heroes you encounter once in a while are just elite mobs blended in the mobs pack you fight. They are uninspired and forgettable. The relics you find are very limited and their power aren't that good either. The shops will often sell you multiple copies of the same items (don't know if it's by design of accidental). No life regen at all. Runs are quite short too even when you manage to get to the end. I "only" have 4.3 hours played, I finished it twice and I feel there is nothing more the game can provide me. I hate putting on a thumbs down cause I really want the small devs like this one to keep going and better themselves but this not a very good game for the price. This is worth like 5$ tops and even that is kinda high. Compare it to Vampire Survivors (which is 5$) and you will know what I mean. Sorry dev, I really wish I could give it a recommendation.
