tldr: just want a gameplay video? its at the bottom of the review.
As of this review date the game will take roughly an hour to clear. Its a dive in to several layers of different horror types similar to an anthology-game style. The atmosphere of the game was generally pretty spooky, being mostly in a low light level setting while knowing something is out to get you. Each layer deeper you go the rules of the entity or layer changes slightly an example being "don't let it hear you" or "find the correct one". The game has linear progression so no worrying about open-ended nonsense about figuring out what to do. Based on the few contextual clues it gives you it is fairly quick to pick up on what it wants you to do for each level.
I enjoyed the different level aspects of it as I am a huge fan of anthology style horror games. Often times a horror game is too short so having a collection style where you can keep adding to it is a massive plus from me. My favorite level is the one with the guy in the sailor outfit (shown in the screenshots for the game preview above). Something about that style of gameplay combined with the horror genre just tickles my fancy.
Generally speaking my only complaints about the game are simply: sometimes a sound is way too loud (I think just two monsters are guilty of this). Brother I like my ears the way they are, please sound balance that downwards a bit. The second issue is incredibly minor: two of the resolutions I use most often aren't available (1920x1080 and 2560x1440), but I didn't see any quality loss by using a lower resolution. This might be a bug with having two monitors open and it recognizing the both of them instead of my primary.

9/10 - This Game is Graphically Pleasing and Does not Take OVERLY USED ASSETS from a store. Between the uniqueness of each level and Directional Audio Quality, I thoroughly enjoyed the time I put into this game. Puzzles were not at all difficult which allowed me to take in the environment a lot more.

one of the most surprising, polished, and underrated horror games i've ever played. absolutely phenomenal enemy design and an incredibly unique aesthetic. in fact, out of everything, i really only have two complaints:
- some of the environments are a little too big for the character's movement speed and kind of break the pacing
- the final level is tedious as hell and the only point in my entire playthrough where i felt more annoyed than scared
i also ran into one bug on the aforementioned level where it
wouldn't let me sleep
no matter what i did until i restarted it
outside of that, this game deserves so much more attention, because this was pretty much an absolutely terrifying experience from beginning to end

Creepy and well thought. It gets frustrating in some points (very few), but the game guides you through them in a subtle but effective way. Good job to the dev!

The only problem with this game is the fact that is was too short! I wanna see what more this team can do!
Great Game!

The developer of this game has really nailed what it means to build an atmosphere and build fitting environments. Had a blast going through this game, both marveling at the visuals but also being terrified by some of the atmospheres provided in the areas. At the point of this review there is still more content to come and I'm so eager to see what else will be added to this game, which I already recommend wholeheartedly to anyone who wants a good horror experience.
