This is a letter-based puzzler about finding and spelling special keywords to black out every tile in a grid. Early keywords have simple functions, like blacking out an extra tile of your choice, but each world adds new keyword rules that get progressively more elaborate. By the final few worlds, the combinatorial explosion of layering all these wild rules on top of each other creates a huge possibility space that's super satisfying to unravel, and leads to some truly inventive solutions to what at first glance appear to be simple word search puzzles.
There's zero duds and zero reliance on brute force solutions. Just one creative idea after another, joyfully twisting your understanding of the game's world, over and over til the very end.

Hands down the best puzzle game I have played recently. If there is a perfect word game, it is LOK. The puzzle design is genuinely fresh, intriguing, elegant, and will always get spiced up with something new and exciting. The difficulty curve is nice and even. There are both easy and hard puzzles available. If you want some casual fun, you will find it here with the base experience, but seasoned puzzle players will also find their challenge, with the harder, star puzzles.
Each new Word learnt and mechanic discovered is an interesting spin on the puzzles going forward, supplementing the existing mechanics, and also making them more and more fun, the star puzzles even more challengeing and complex, yet not overwhelming. The hint system is multi-tiered. Even if you get really stuck and feel like you have to use a hint, it wont spoil the entire puzzle, each small hint will just make the puzzle slightly easier, until you hit that sweet spot where the difficulty is just right for you, so you will still get that satisfying sense of achievement.
The Daily Puzzles are a nice extra you can return to every day if you want more content. Also has a Level Editor, which is something good to fiddle with if you get some cool ideas for a LOK puzzle.
LOK has a Demo (which is always a big positive in my book), with a good chunk of the game (~1/4). Honestly, just try it right now.
The hand-drawn artstyle is impeccable, the animations are silky-smooth, the developers knew what is enough to keep the game clean and polished. Thank you Blaz for making this absolute gem of a game, and thank you Icedrop and Draknek for digitalizing it. I would have never played this masterpiece without you. 10/10 stellar work.

I legitimately was shocked by how good of a puzzle game this was. The game is fairly unique mechanically from other puzzle games I've played and I struggled to really describe it to people (I ended up just telling people to play the demo). It took a bit less than three hours to do all of the main worlds (though I still need to do the after credits things) so it's not a long game for the price but I really cannot overstate how much I enjoyed playing this game

A solid puzzle game. I picked this up thinking that it was a language discovery game similar to Chants of Sennaar, but it's not really about that. It's more about crafting different known words with the limited options available on the board in clever ways. Even though the game was not really what I expected going in, I still had a lot of fun. The pacing of new mechanics keeps things interesting while not being too overwhelming right out of the gate. There are also a number of nice surprises on the path to 100%-ing the game.

This is the most addicting puzzle game I have ever played. The constant stream of new and interesting mechanics keep the game fresh and prevents the gameplay from getting stale and repetitive. The difficulty of the levels slowly increases throughout the campaign and towards the end the levels almost feel impossible, but that just makes you more happy when you actually do get the answer correctly.
LOK Digital reminded me of my childhood where I didn't have a lot of money and often played the sudoku at the end of the free newspaper I took home on my way to school. It feels like a game that would have been perfect in those.

Relaxing but brainy, sort of scratches the same itch as Picross.
Bought this game based on SU&SD's review of the physical version. Glad I got the digital one because the UI and music are both great! Love that the little LOKs are clickable and make cute squeaky sounds.

This is an INCREDIBLE puzzle game. It's so unique and challenging. It does a fantastic job of teaching you each mechanic and building off that. Sometimes the puzzles are incredibly challenging, but I never felt stupid for not figuring it out sooner. I always left this game with a feeling of "OH so that's how that works! That's so cool!". Absolutely recommend this game. It's going on top of my list for sure.
