gonna be honest: this is just for the cutscenes. the game itself, idk man. you gotta pretty much use your bow everywhere on the top down segments, but then on the final boss, lol, good luck, gave up there. the fist fight sections require insane reaction time, so much so that often I could not move my finger form the 4 key to the 5 key in time if i had to hit a 5, like bruh.

If you play this I strongly recommend using Cheat Engine to slow the game during the duels as they are incredibly unreasonable/borderline impossible.
Otherwise the cutscenes are great. The top down combat is fine though requires some cheese to get through. But you're really here for the cutscenes and boy do they deliver. The Swedes may have the power of god on their side but the Finns have 100% domination over anime.

It's at best a 1/5 game now as it is sadly unplayable, but the (first few) cut scenes are awesome. But it could be a truly 🎄/5 game with some minor fixes.
Fix the duel mechanic! Pressing correct numbers don't always block. Sometimes there's zero chance to react as the timing between punches is so random and short. The control scheme also makes no sense for the mini game and is made for some kind of Finnish lake monster's hands.
Show the cursor on screen during battle so we can aim better and not click outside of the game and die.
Apart from those issues, I enjoyed it and want more dammit!

It was $2 well spent. I had a great time with it. Then I spent another $2 to buy it for a friend.
The art style is very unique but it made me smile.
The game is BRUTALLY difficult. The melee range is very long and there aren't any swipe vfx or anything to tell how far melee swings are. Some visual effects would really help so you could see the swings. The melee enemies don't really have a 'tell' for when they attack, so melee back and forth combat is very difficult. [strike]The aiming is really weird. The cursor is used to aim, but the cursor is invisible. If the cursor was visible, the aiming style would work a lot better. Please make the cursor visible.[/strike] The definitive update fixes the cursor being invisible.
The hand to hand combat sequences are fun but the pauses between the enemy's attacks are very inconsistent and sometimes there are long pauses where they don't attack at all. The definitive edition helped this being more fair, but it was easily the hardest part of the game.
The mini games for upgrades don't have a "help" screen or tutorial, and some are very confusing (the sauna for example). And if you fail the mini game, you don't get an upgrade, which feels pretty bad.
The HP and ammo types are all just text on the screen, I'd love to see actual UI icons. Hearts instead of numbers for health, bow and arrow icon with a number next to it for arrow ammo, etc.
The cutscenes and storyline was the real star of the show. It was a ton of fun to see.
