Abandoned but it's only a dollar. If you want a bite sized version of X on a two dimensional plane, it's a good time. Fleet battles get massive, you can build your own empire from the ground up or start as a leader. It also includes a built-in sandbox mode accessible from the info menu, called God Mode, that allows you to alter the scenario, spawn anything you want and basically be Space God. There's plenty of game here for a few hours of fun, or more if you use the custom universe tab to generate potentially infinite combinations. There's custom fleet battles, an instant action randomized fight mode and plenty more to entertain you.

I played the first one as a kid, so when I heard a second one was coming out, I knew I had to try it. I got the PC version for the better graphics, and honestly, it’s a big step up from the original in every aspect. Amazing game.
