I bought this DLC during the 2015 Steam Summer sale after reading all the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, given the infamous history of the base game (class action lawsuit!), the user base has pretty much dropped to nil.
While this multiplayer DLC may have been active when first released, multplayer is certainly a ghost town now. Don't bother buying this. or other multiplayer DLCs. If you're going to buy this game, go for the single player stuff.

Your standard horde defense mode made DLC. Fortunately now it is all in one pack with base game, so all new players will get it anyway. Maps are interesting and You can really spent some quality stressful time on them. Do not try to play this mode alone, it's really hard with even two players, so I recommend three minimum.

Completely dead multiplayer, no point in owning the DLC maps - or even the game, as all fun was derived from MP.
Because at least humans can walk around barriers, unlike the AI 'morphs.

If you grab it on sale, it's loads of fun with you and your friend(s), the Bug Hunt mode alone is worth playing with a homie or three, let alone the campaign, especially after some good mod installs and there are some REALLY good ones available too. If you love the franchise, pick up the collection on sale, create a private game and just enjoy it, 4/5 can't recommend enough.

GOT ENTIRE CONTENT only playable statis interupted cant find any bug hunt or any thing i think the original game mode has been xtended longer n better story line but love playing all time only prob is there r no on-line games avalible......%)..

First time i have ever played this game per recommendation of a close friend and this is a great FPS lots to do besides just shoot things. Lots to pay attention to, many game settings, and such.. Honestly it was worth the $.

Land on LV-426 and head over to Hadley’s Hope with three other Colonial Marine friends. Fight the Alien Horde, and Weyland Yutani Corporation. This is one of the most enjoyable team games I have ever played. Strategy is a must, and skill takes a back seat to teamwork. Work together, or die together. Set up auto-turrets to defend your area, activate suppressors to lower the enemy difficulty. Players earn money for kills that can be spent on opening doors, buying health, buying amo, etc. If a player goes down a team mate can revive them, or they can spend $1000 to buy back in. Money becomes critical as the enemy threat escalates to the max! Use iconic weapons such as the smartgun, pulse rifle, and flame thrower to fend off the onslaught. Your custom loadouts from multiplayer are also available to use here. There are 3 maps to choose from. Each map is designed well, and offers multiple paths, and strategies to choose from. This is must for anyone who owns the game. During a Steam sale you can find it for $1

This 1080p PS3/Xbox360/PC game is about 11 years old, now on Steamdeck is one of my favorite Firstperson shooter co-op especially the Bug Hunt DLC. It still is a very challenging and fun game every time I play it in the Ultimate Badass level whether I play it Co-op or Solo. Highly recommend you try/buy/play!!! Your heart may get good aerobic exercise when a lurker pounce you and I m not kidding.

Okay some of the reviews were unfair and wrong to this game. I been enjoying playing this game in coop mode with my online friends a lot. The new maps are a real asset the game. It even outclasses some of the campagne fun. The combat is real intense. You face up to waves of aliens. In between you have a few seconds to grab ammo, weapon upgrades or even smart guns, launchers etc. Very well done if you ask me. I certainly recommend this game with the downloadable contenst to anyone who likes the alien francise. A jewel of a game that is a real contribution to my enjoyment of gaming online.
