As much as I love Origins on Black Ops III, it feels a smidge cheaper on there. It's kinda like the GTA Definitive Editions, it has a bunch of modern effects but doesn't feel as high-quality, like they just upscaled a bunch of things. Not nearly as bad as GTA, though, it's splitting hairs with this one. If you're not super into Zombies, you'll be fine just playing it on BO3. It's way easier on there, though, so play this version if you want a challenge. The multiplayer maps are alright, I feel like the DLC maps have worse pathing for bots than the base game maps. Might just be me, I memorized the bot pathing on the base maps back in the day when my connection was so bad that I couldn't play online most of the time and the DLC throws me for a loop because it's new.

Origins is the best BO2 map by far and some people might even say it's the best map of all Black Ops games.

Multiplayer maps are probably interesting but I haven't played BO2 multiplayer yet and probably never will thanks to the hackers, the zombies map Origins is the final BO2 zombies map and it is one of the best maps imo, it's got tons of stuff to do especially if you're going for the Easter Egg and a new boss zombie that looks really cool and I think is a fun challenge. downside is the map is pretty tight, mud sucks to run through and the 3rd Easter Egg step can be a hassle on solo, spent countless hours waiting for the right giant foot to appear in the right spot, still it's a pretty fun map and the Easter Egg is worth it imo.

I've hardly played the Multiplayer maps, but seriously, Origins (Zombies map), it's just fking amazing.
The Easter Egg isn't difficult with a couple of friends, and can even be done without worries buy an experienced Zombies player on Solo.
There are so many challenges that you are able to do and it's loads of fun.
For 10 USD for just the Zombies map alone, many will find the purchase insane, but it's well worth it imo.

Honestly, I would ignore those saying Multiplayer is dead or you can't find a game, at peak play time (usually 4000-5000 players) if a rather short wait if any to find a lobby with people who also have the DLC, however I would highly recommend purchasing ALL the dlc map packs to get the best chance of finding a lobby. I say this because most people have purchased all the dlc map packs, and if you only purchase one, your chances of finding a lobby easily are much slimer. With the new cods being somewhat unsuccessful, more players are coming back to MW2,3 BO1,2 hence finding a game is now quicker.
Overrall I rate this DLC highly.

i love origins. so why do i not recommend this? simply because every other way to play it is better.. Bo3 chronicles or literally any other port of this game. Why in the fuck is there so much unpolished BS on only this port!? every generator area you're going to have to jump on the platform because your character refuses to pick up their feet 1/4 of the times which will fuck you. you will also deal with this on the excavation stairs. which might not sound like a big deal but if you plan on upgrading your *Redacted. or need to rebuy mule. your most likely going to die on them once or twice. the only other map i've noticed this on is die rise in the doorway by box. But i can still recommend that because its in one spot of the map that you can completely avoid. In Origins these are areas you will NEED to play at almost every round. completely unacceptable. Next, whats with the zombies trying to res me in solo????? get off my body you morons so i can use my quick revive. Your basically playing with one life which is super obnoxious. and i had never seen this issue before or after this map. super uncool to deal with. i had said for years that Bo2 origins was better then 3. and ill probably continue too say that on console. But sadly this port is a bit janky.
I do feel the need to say if you have never played this map before and steam is your only platform. buy it! if you like zombies or want to get it. this is still the peak of "modern zombies/EE style" the innovations on this map are carved into bo3 and future installments. and the epic adventure of solving the EE for the first time and building *Redacted for the first time will be some of the most fun ive had playing video games.
TLDR: when i played back in 2013-14 On my PS3 this map was better But Origins is still Origins
Tips: shoot the flaming carts with the *Reacted to get a free zombie blood once a round (unless its raining) If you don't dig up a gun at the beginning buy the Five-Seven to do your headshot challenge, you don't NEED to box. Run with Claymores in your hands you will be faster. Use the shield for a certain process that needs melee kills. it will save you a lot of time.

Since DLC lobbies for this games multiplayer are long dead, you're really only getting the Origins Zombie map..... And by God Man is that a fun map.
Origins
- It's a WW1 battlefield with uniquely styled zombies, a ride-able tank, a large robot that can step on you and a wide selection of new WW1-2 era weapons..... All with the legendary cast of Nikolai Belinski, Tank Dempsey, Takeo Masaki and the man himself Edward "the Situation" Richtofen. All in their young 20s. It's a super cool fun but a tad overhyped map. As a result of its immense popularity you can often find people to play with in the multiplayer lobby for this map..... That enough is reason to prioritize this map over the other three DLC packs.
As memorable and nostalgic as it might be................. is it worth $15 in 2020? No, wait for a sale.

The final review and DLC for Call of Duty Black Ops 2, and what great way to end of the game's life span! AGAIN, another 4 maps included in multiplayer but not bad, they are pretty cool multiplayer maps I would recommend. Then the meat of the DLC, Origins! In my opinion the best zombie map playing co-op! This map requires a lot of teamwork to do the objectives and get the hidden ending. Such a great map I DEFINITELY recommend to anyone!!! This is the end of all these really long reviews and Black Ops 2 as a whole but I will never forget all the fun memories from not having PHD flopper for a very long time while treyarch kept teasing us to the really funny trailer parody syndicate created on this map pack! If you read all my reviews I thank you for sticking through the entire marathon of reviews and Black ops 2! I did this for the 2 year birthday this game had.
Final Verdict: 10/10
