Die Rise is simply one of the most cluttered, confusing maps of all time. it could've been done so much better.
Complete lack of control of how you play the map, as perks, guns and buildables are all stuck behind waiting on elevators. Sure, you can run from one end of the map to the other, but if you want to run back, its a full loop of waiting on elevators. You can get the key, but it is a one use only per round and changes locations constantly.
The Sliquifier is an interesting Wonder Weapon that doesn't really do much, but ends up being overpowered, due to an infinite damage possibility, or lack thereof. The puddles can be placed allowing zombies to slide off the map, which, when used effectively will wipe entire hordes in seconds.
The easter egg, unlike so many others, is a 4 player only exclusive, which is only for some steps, of which could've been scaled back to accommodate less players, as Tranzit, Mob of The Dead and Origins allow for.
I'd argue it's one of the ugliest maps as well, with a brown, dead environment. Sure, a lot of zombies maps explore ruin in a post apocalyptic world, but so many do it better. Considering its a Chinese skyscraper complex, you could easily have had this at night with more lights, decorations and better atmosphere.

Since DLC multiplayer lobbies have been long dead, the only thing you'd really be playing in this pack is the Die Rise Zombie map and most likely solo. The multiplayer lobby even for this pretty Good map is often dead. You might get lucky and find other players if you wait in the lobby long enough but in any case the four multiplayer maps you get are useless and irrelevant in 2020. The "Turned" Zombie mode while being interesting in it's concept and approach follows the same fate as the aforementioned multiplayer maps.................... no one plays them. The player base for the game in general is small as it is. That being said, Die Rise is a very fun and in my opinion a very underrated map.
Die Rise
- Jump between two large decaying skyscrapers in a Chinese mega city. It's atmospheric, creative and there's a lot of things to do. Perks are in elevators that move randomly when you turn on the power but can also be summoned with a key. You can build things like a trampoline that throws zombies forward often killing them. (you can also use these to launch yourself between buildings) Every several rounds the special zombie wave will see you being attacked by these extremely bouncy and flippy grey zombies. The issue a lot of people have with Die Rise is that it's insanely easy to fall off the map and die..... don't fall and you'll be having a good time.
Now is one Zombie map you're likely only going to be playing on solo worth $15? No of course not. Wait for a sale

Love the peacekeeper it's a solid gun, the "new" maps are great. Grind is my favorite but that's just cause I love skate parks.

I bought this DLC on 3/1/2013 and after 2 years I write this review. Shame on me.
If you wonder why I did this is because I want back the years spent with my friends playing this game.
This DLC is awesome, why? Because it's the first DLC with a new weapon in CoD and the maps are very good.

This is a very good package you can buy for black ops 2! All 4 multiplayer maps are very fun to play on and die rise zombie map as well as turned diner are really fun especially diner if you are just trying to have a bit a fun. This DLC also includes the amazing peacekeeper on multiplayer! Overall, I would recommend this dlc pack to anyone who likes both gamemodes!
