A very fun game and the technical support is wonderful and fast. It spends hours without getting bored. It needs some modifications and additions. I think programmers will speed up adding it.

Pretty fun concept but it is still way too early access to enjoy:
Unintuitive UI
Items are used without any animations
Some furniture in your house is for show (expected to be able to drink water from the sink I installed in the kitchen or from the sink in the bathroom but I couldn't)
You can turn on the faucets to drink water from the water fountains but you can't turn it off, you have to wait for a long time until it turns off on its own.
You can't seem to be able to pick up multiple parcels at once.
You cannot sprint (did not check keybinds, I tried SHIFT and that did nothing)
You cannot place different permanent markers on the map (I had issues remembering where my house was and I had to drive around the area until I saw a house with a missing fence lol, there is an icon for this but it's a generic icon for other plots too)
The world is pretty bare and there's not that much to do.
It would be awesome if you'd get a tutorial / initial questline to get you going.
You cannot seem to be able to pack items up and place them in the house's inventory without some sort of tool? I saw in someone's guide that they were using a tool to destroy already placed items in the shop (destroy or pack, not sure) - I bought a large bed and I was unable to remove the one person one.
Pretty small obstacles stop your car so if you want to use shortcuts you can't really. This might be a design choice and the aim is realism but in a game it can be pretty annoying.
Refunding for now but I'll be keeping an eye on this as it has the potential to be great one day.

Ocean is Home; is another early access game, very early access, and surprisingly, has very few bugs. In this game, there is a lot of driving involved in this game, and if you decide to buy this game, I strongly urge you to read the basic guides for how to play. When I first booted up this game, I admit I was rather lost in what to do, and how to do things, so going over the rather short but very useful guides, is strongly recommended.
There are survival elements to this game as well, your character has to eat, drink, and work to make money. You have a starter home, and a beat up pickup to drive with to get you started and a credit card with a good amount of starting cash available. There are some shops, not too many, with gas stations for fuel, and a few garages available to maintain, your vehicles engine, and tires for when they wear out.
So you may ask what the downside is, and actually there is not a lot to complain about. Driving is something of a pain when turning, as the cars/trucks tend to over steer any turns, rather abruptly, so a soft touch is required. The amount of maintenance on vehicles may be a bit too often required, and could use a little tweaking so your not spending too much for repair work. ( except maybe in my case: "Ooops hit a tree!") .
What's great about it? you may ask. Well I love the fact there are so many classic cars available to drive, The general lee type Dodge Charger, an El Camino, the old Lincoln Continental with the suicide doors on it, with more to be added over time, yes there is controller support available ( double check to be sure as I don't use any).
The game is pretty laid back, no rush, thank goodness, considering how long it takes me to get from one end of the Island to the other. You can mine resources, build homes, from scratch, go Zombie hunting on the "unsafe" northern side of the island, which is divided by a river, so the south side is safe. The devs promise to make new business's available down the road, and you can rent out a shop to start one, I have not tried that yet, as I've only been playing for a short while, and the island is quite big. lots of potential in this game. If you don't mind the slow start, and the quirky driving system, this could be the game for you, especially if you like the old muscle cars.

Very enjoyable sandbox game. From running a store to building your own house from the ground up. Most of the negative reviews are ones that say there is no starting guide or direction. If you read the starting part and treat the game like starting a new life in a undiscovered area where you need to learn the ropes you will do fine and have fun I believe. Happy Gaming

while the game is still in development and lots is left to do, i like the laid back design., you can be a postman, trash collector, store owner or other occupatons. and tooling around is fun. but, as i said, its still got ways to go. you can see that the devs have a lot of good ideas and will have a fairly good game in a yeara or so.

I really wanted to like this game as I LOVE 80s aesthetics & music and the concept behind this game, but I'm returning it as I felt there is a lack of tutorial / guidance and what also would have been great is if there was a task / log quest viewer where you have to achieve certain things in order to make progress. Things like "visit the store, buy XYZ, chop some wood, sell XYZ to JKL" - that sort of thing. It would give people some help to get started in this game. It's great that a message pops up at the start of the game saying you can buy & sell things, renovate and what not, but it doesn't tell you HOW. :( So basically you're running around like a headless chicken in this game wasting your time. I would definitely reconsider buying it again once it's a bit more developed.

☑ 8 ( For Early Access at the Price Point, 8/10, This has great potential as long as they stay on course and not float off into left field somewhere with unnecessary stuff. People are going to ask for a lot of weird stuff but if they stick with Island Life Simulation and do not waiver this could be a good game for a long time and a building platform for maybe a Life Simulator Part 2 in the future somewhere.

I paid for this game and I was not influenced to write anything here, this is all my opinion.

So far I'm liking what I see. Obviously as an early-access game it's incomplete, but it's looking promising.
I have been playing the mobile version for some time, and this game is a big step up from there. The island has been reimagined, while keeping the same basic layout as before, which is nice as there isn't too much of a learning curve if you come from the mobile version. The graphics of course have all had a facelift, and it generally looks gorgeous now. Even driving, which used to be a chore on the mobile version, has beccome a joy with the first-person view (though it could do with the ability to look left and right at junctions) which makes it so much easier to steer, which is essential around the new twisty and hilly roads.
Other things of note: the litter (bananas, bottles of water, etc) that used to litter the island (a hangover from the old version 1 mobile days I think) are now gone. And quite rightly - they were a bit silly really. Instead free food can be obtained from street vendors, or you buy the good stuff from shops as before.
Speaking of shops, some have been consolidated so that there's a bit less trawling around to find the things you need. The mall is empty, at the moment, with all the hardware bits from there and elsewhere gathered into a general hardware store, and the food moved to a dedicated food shop near your starting house. Which makes more sense really. I don't know what the plans for the mall are, but I can't wait to see how it develops.
As well as being incomplete there are a couple of oddities at the moment which are due to be tackled in the next releases, but nothing major.
This game is very much the culmination of years of practice with the mobile versions. It's an evolution of them taking the best bits and building on them through feedback from the players, which as a player makes me feel valued. Which is nice.
