other than the premise of playing an evil child, this really feels like a poor mans hitman. But unlike hitman, there is only one, and often vague, way to actually kill the person you need to.

Game is okay ending sucked. Mainly saying no because of the 20 and 40 hours achievements. I ended up getting every other achievement around 6.2 hours :/

So...Lucius... :[
I would say the idea behind the story is alright, the kills are different (in a good way) and the graphics are pretty decent, especially that this game came out 12 years ago but... it has its big lows:
-Sometimes I felt like the writing was a little cringe (imo);
-Some kills felt really vague in terms of understanding how to do them;
-As other people mentioned in the discussion section of this game it can have some performance issues (for example my game kept crashing at the end of chapter 4. Good thing I had an ace on my sleeve ;)
-The "smart-ahh"/puzzle ending was really stupid with McGuffin and Lucius walking out from the manor lie two bad-ahhes lol;
- "I like this game" and "I'm addicted" achievements shouldn't even exist since this game is 2-3 hours long;
-AND the voice acting..."sigh"... At the beginning it wasn't noticeable, it felt normal, but through the last half of the game... it could have been much better.
And just the fact that I heard the other two instalments got even worse than this one pains me, since my pros still stand out. If only this game and the other two from the trilogy got a whole remake (too late for that sadly), I would gladly come to play this one again.
But for now 5-7/10.

If your new to the Lucius games, play this one and then stop. Good game for its age, and was unique at its release.

Lucius is overall a pretty damn fun time with some caveats. You are Lucius, a young boy who gets visited by Lucifer in his bedroom at night that teaches him the ropes of killing with a slew of different powers including telekinesis, mind control and flame conjuring. The story isn't anything great but it takes heavy inspiration from The Omen, and plays extremely similar to Hitman: Blood Money; putting you in a small sandbox with targets and you have to find routes and objects to complete your murderous goal. Characters seem to meld together due to them reusing voice actors and it gets fairly predictable quickly. Kill this person, kill that person. It keep the challenges interesting but isn't anything remarkable. Overall a solid choice if product is on sale.

I have not yet finished this game. I played it for 7 hours straight on Christmas eve and then got violently ill on Christmas day which lasted for 6 weeks in total.
I am not a religious man but that shit spooked me enough to not want to touch the trilogy I bought.

What a brilliant game idea! I think as a kid everyone of us had the strong desire to take revenge on people who did something to us that seemed wrong. What if it becomes true? Welcome to the manor of "weird accidents" where Lucius' circles get decimated by him being judge, jury and executioner with the help of his superpower. Sometimes the puzzles leading to those accident are a little bit more challenging but eventually everyone gets what he (in Lucius' opinion) deserves. Strong recommendation for this one! I am glad this game was recommended to me!

a childhood game of mine (please don't this to your kids tho) that I pick up from time to time cause it has great atmosphere, interesting puzzles and decent stealth and a little bit of combat in late stages
