Rating: 4/10 Disappointing While visually solid, that's really it's only charm for me. OUTSTAND lacks the substance needed to stand out in the horror genre. The predictable scares, weak narrative, and limited content leave much to be desired. Overview: OUTSTAND is a horror game that attempts to tap into the jump-scare mechanic for its thrills. It features a treasure hunt narrative with an angry demon antagonist and simple puzzles that guide you through a short, single-chapter experience. However, while the game’s visuals show promise, it struggles in several key areas—particularly in terms of its repetitive scares, weak voice acting, and an underdeveloped story. Compared to other games in the genre, OUTSTAND doesn’t offer much substance, and its lack of updates and completion make it feel more like a beta than a finished product. Gameplay and Mechanics: The core gameplay loop of OUTSTAND revolves around finding 12 items scattered across the environment. These items are integral to the game’s progression, though their simplicity and repetition quickly strip away any sense of challenge or excitement. The puzzles that accompany these items are straightforward and easy to solve, lacking any real depth or complexity. While this might appeal to players looking for a quick, low-effort experience, it does little to hold your attention for long. The main “horror” element of OUTSTAND is its reliance on jump scares, which—after the first few encounters—become entirely predictable. The game follows a pattern where the player can almost sense when the next scare is coming, which ultimately dilutes the shock factor. After the initial few moments, you’re left waiting for the inevitable, making the jump scares feel more like an annoyance than a source of tension. Story and Narrative The narrative of OUTSTAND is a thin one, revolving around a treasure hunt and an angry demon that appears sporadically to cause havoc. The demon’s role in the story seems underdeveloped, as its actions consist mainly of screaming and "breaking" something before disappearing. There’s little to no explanation for the demon's motivations or how the treasure hunt ties into the larger narrative, leaving the story feeling more like a backdrop for gameplay rather than an integral part of the experience. The “to be continued” ending suggests that the developers had planned more content, but with no updates since February 2023, it's unclear when, or if, players will see more of the story. This lack of resolution, combined with the game’s brevity, makes the experience feel incomplete. Final Thoughts OUTSTAND has potential, but it’s hard to recommend it when so many other horror games do the same things better. While the visuals create a good atmosphere, the predictable jump scares, weak voice acting, lackluster story, and minimal gameplay make for a forgettable experience. If you’re looking for a horror game that builds tension, offers compelling mechanics, and keeps you engaged, you’re better off looking elsewhere. Ultimately, OUTSTAND feels more like a proof of concept than a finished product, and unless the developers release significant updates or new chapters, it’s hard to see this game offering lasting appeal.

This game is not what is seems to be. It is very short and a boring plot. I would not recommend this game. It should be longer based on how the game appears.
