The wait is over, and Unboxing has been released! I know many of you are eager to dive in to the latest release from BigFrog Studios, the folks behind the classic game Highlaundry, so let's get right to it! First though, I want to thank everyone for being so supportive of the sponsorships I've added to my reviews. They bring in a bit of income to support my work, and really don't disturb the flow of the writing, so I think it's win-win. Unboxing sticks close to the tried and true formula for a good box game. It uses the four basic steps of unboxing, which I refer to as "The Triad". Tired of those boring colonoscopy photos? Try Proctograph! Thanks to advances in AI art, you can transform your colon into a mysterious jungle cave, or an alien landscape! Forget about those embarrassing polyps, ask your doctor about Proctograph today! [olist] [*]Get a box [*]Open the box [*]Collect the items [*]Discard the box [/olist] Simplicity in itself, and yet you soon find yourself immersed in the process, opening box after box as the hours slip by. Ha ha. No, of course not. That would be way too much effort. You hire drones to do those things for you, so that you don't need to interact with the game at all. Now that's what I call progress! Everyone loves wheat Thins. At least in the countries that haven't banned them. People have told us, however, that they get frustrated when their Wheat Thin snaps in half when trying to get some dip, so we are proud to introduce our newest product, Wheat Thicks! That's right! Our new 1/2" thick crackers come with an aluminum core, so they are sure to stand up to even the thickest dips. Wheat Thicks. Look for them in any country where our other products are legal! I cannot even begin to imagine what more you could desire from a game. It's sleek, it's streamlined, and you don't even need to play it. The future is here, my friend, and its name is Unboxing. Okay, lets get this out of the way. Unboxing is not a "bad game" per se but it is not a good game either. The game feels really rushed to put something out from the developer and I dont know it seems like it was a good idea but the execution of it is poor. The game has optimization issues, so with an idler game like this, it lags pretty badly when you try to underscore it. If you try to have a second window up the game shutters and freezes then crashes. The drones you buy go by percentages of 1 instead of like 10 which makes the drone upgrades seem useless until you max out your upgrade and it is 100% speed. and the achievements, or lack of. I buy idle games for achievements over time, and a bunch of them. I am not saying this has to have 100 achievements but have a few more then freaking 4 All in all the game has a decent framework down and a great idea but that framework was boarded up with cheap materials and flimsy nails that make this game a tedious chore that in the end is not worth it. I will be fair though, if this game gets updated, I will give it another try and I will change my review ★ Please check out my curator pages for more reviews ★ ★ Regular Cuppa Tea Reviews ★ Adult (18+) Cuppa Tea Reviews ★ Games & DLCs I Own Review Page ★ My Classy Content

Ok, this game is awesome, it has a very unique and relaxing take on idlers. But it crashes WAY TO MUCH. If the developers fix the issue then i would 100% recommend it, but right now, i just can't.

It is what I expected for US$2. Lose yourself in clicking a futuristic container, clicking on the contents, and doing it again. Every so often, spend cash on upgrading the type/level of container to get better stuff. If you want, buy/upgrade one of each drone. then walk away from the computer. Go to work, do the dishes, watch your kid play FIFA... Come back and upgrade either the droids or the containers to get better loot. If you are complaining about this game which is essentially free, you are showing the amount of privilege in your life. 10/10 - would buy again.

I would enjoy this a lot more if it did not frequently crash to desktop.

I'm not sure what to do to enjoy this game, but I hate to say it, but it's so boring even for $3. OK, I only played at bit over 30 minutes, but that was all I could handle. Please, if it gets better, let me know. It's possible I couldn't hang in there enough to give ti a fair rating.

This is more of a clicker game than an idler game. The drones are incredibly slow and upgrading them doesn't seem to affect them. Waiting for them to do anything is painfully slow. The game also crashes to desktop every 3-5 minutes, so leaving it running and unattended doesn't quite work. Clicking is the way to go. The game seems to autosave often, so no progress is lost from the crashes and the game boots up quickly. There is no offline progress. It's quite unclear how things are actually affected by leveling them up at all, but leveling the boxes seems to make the loot worth more when you sell it. The game is a bit lacking at the time of writing this review, but it's alright at the price point. With some updates this could be a decent idler, but for now it's an alright clicker.
