If you just want a good classic M3 to play, recommended. If you're a completionist who wants to 100% your games: I'm a little on the fence. The first sequel to Jewel Match Twilight has considerably smaller levels - there are about 100 or 150 tiles to clear in most levels instead of the several hundred/level in most of the first game - and some new obstacles and widgets to move pieces around or help you clear tiles. A large part of the game is "extra" levels. There are only 90 regular M3 levels required to finish the game, but nearly that many more optional M3 levels in the map (puzzle get all the stars/bats, race mode get the stars and clear tiles, and crystal room levels to earn crystals for playing the bonus games in the bonus menu). Unfortunately, if you only want to play in relaxed mode, you're going to be missing out on all the extra content because all the optional M3 levels are timed or limited moves only. Earning enough crystals from playing the crystal levels lets you unlock bonus content in the bonus games menu (jigsaw puzzles and hidden object scenes). In between levels you get to build a Halloween-ish sort of "spooky lite" scene and each scene is designed to take 15 levels to complete for a total of 6 scenes. The playing tiles and a good part of the music were reused from the first game, but it's OK as the playing tiles are crisp and easy to distinguish. The developer has issued a patch to fix the jigsaw puzzle issues mostly (although at least one of the jigsaws still appears rather odd with how the highlighting was done), and you no longer have to grind like crazy to 100% the game...assuming you don't go and play all the bonus M3 levels in one go. The feature of having the bonus levels unlock after certain regular boards are completed was not yet implemented when this game was made - it is a score based system here and I found that nearly all the bonus levels unlocked by about the halfway point. So if you want to "do everything", make sure you only play just enough bonus levels to buy all the parts for the current scene in progress and repeat this method for each new scene or you can't get everything built. It's overall a pretty fun game to play despite the design flaw with the bonus levels, and a pretty chill experience since the levels aren't overly cluttered with obstacles.

This is how you do it! The Developers took everything that wasn't great with the first game and improved upon it. And... It made the game far more enjoyable. For one, the game no longer crashes. There is more to do and the game play is entertaining/relaxing enough for you to actually finish it. There are also new additions and holy... I didn't think you could actually do that "a ton of rocks for you" level... But I survived. *-* Good work on your part Developers. Keep up the goodness coming! :D :> :)
