If you need your AOUAD fix, then this is good. It's better if you know the webcomic, Netflix-only people may be confused by some of the differences. The visual novel & the webcomic are by no means identical, they are still different universes to each other, but they are closer to each other than either is to the Netflix show.
I'm not saying any particular version is better. There are some things I prefer from the Netflix version (the themes about bullying & social status divides) & some I prefer from the webcomic (good guy! Coach Kang. They could have just used Anh for the jerk teacher that nearly gets our group killed with his selfishness, he was right there). And I haven't played far enough into the Visual Novel to say what I think of it compared to the other continuities, as I'm still on Chapter 1. Though I like the dynamic that this version's Woo-jin & Na-yeon have with each other & with Chan-in (who I don't remember from the other versions).
