There are still not many changes in the gameplay, the coop is quite smooth, and the drama isn’t much. However, it is still worth experiencing with friends!

This DLC somehow manages to be better than the base game, which I dislike being the reality, but at least it's better. Some factors of this DLC are actually good, like the monster design, visuals, and mechanics. Unlike the base game, I don't really ever get stuck on annoying puzzles that either are extremely easy but I am just thinking way too far outside the box, and unfortunately, none of the puzzles are actually complicated. However, the best part of this DLC resides in it's mechanics. Unlike the base game (which at the time of writing this I am realizing I am saying way too frequently), none of the puzzles are just shooting something with the bow and hitting something with the hammer. And even though some of the mechanics like the shadow children are practically copy pasted into this game, they all had their own creative twist on them.
However, this is unfortunately where my praise ends and critiques begin. To start, there aren't any cool collectables in the base game or DLC, because every cosmetic is locked behind an annoying paywall. Also, I feel that some of the sound design is so basic and nothing compared to this games predecessors, since all the noises are extremely quiet and there is almost no music in the entire chapter. Last but not least, the stupid AI just kept on getting caught or didn't help me whatsoever when I was getting jumped by the Puppeteer. When I was extremely safe, really far from her, the AI would just be jogging right beside her, barely attempting to escape.
Overall, this was far superior to the base game of LN3, and personally, I think it was a step in the right direction. Thanks Supermassive,
7.5/10

DLC was much better then the original game, felt more like the first 2 in the franchise. Major improvement, its a shame the game simply didnt launch with all the DLC simply as a normal main game.

FIRST DLC
WOW! As a person who didn't like the base game, this DLC captures the first two games and excels in some parts. The imagery and the puzzles are improved on sooooo much. I truly mean it.
the puzzles felt a bit harder and more thoughtful. The moments of suspense and how tension builds as you wait for your flash to charge when you're getting surrounded. Everything came together at the end and if the base game were like this, it would be so solid.
The new gameplay mechanic didn't feel like a gimmick. It was new and really simple but effective. That few seconds of precious time between charges does so much to fill you with dread. You have to play it to get that feeling.
The new monster was a simple design but she has a large range of animations and motion. Her twitching and turning of the body if more subtle yet effective. If you stop and look at her for like 4 mins, you can see she's actually assembling the puppet, not just replaying the same animation over an dover again. Then after she assembles the puppet, she takes it apart and reassembles it again, almost like she's unhappy with it. This is a small detail that I appreciate since you're sneaky around the area longer than usual so they went thought he extra effort to make her cycle more elaborate and longer, with the loop making senses.
Also, they allow you to now have a way of defending yourself again the monster and be able to recover form mistakes instead of being insta killed.
A very very solid 9/10.
Keep up the great work devs and I hope this isn't a one time thing because this is significantly better Than the base game.

Was incredibly fun and not only felt like a step up from the main game, but from the series. The gameplay itself combined what was great about 1 and 2, the free roam monster encounters, unique and new puzzle mechanics, along with the co-op actually feeling intuitive rather than sluggish as it did in the main game.
The atmosphere is also incredibly, managing the capture the extreme darks of the 2nd game along with the extreme whimsy of the first, creating an amazing blend of an interesting yet eery atmosphere that you want to explore yet fear encountering the monsters you hear a few rooms away.
Story wise, it's nice, though my only issue is Alones presence, she feels kind've random in the overarching story.

Honestly, with the new dlc that just came out, it enriched the story depth within the base game of little nightmares 3. Little nightmares 3 has flaws but overall it is a good game and now even better with the dlc. With the new dlc they took the critcism and made the monsters, gameplay, and puzzles much better. The quality is stunning. Overall for now little nightmares 3 has an 8/10 with the 1st dlc out now.

To the people who spammed bad reviews before it was even out...really? It ended up being amazing and it's just sad to see the reviews not being accurate cause everyone gave a bad review before even playing. I loved it and i hope supermassive keeps this up in the future.
