The sorta outlier in Karbonic's current library of games, DREAMWILD is definitely a learning curve compared to the RPGmaker of DashBored and Nashbored, and the Dungeon Crawling of Psychopomp. DREAMWILD instead is part first person exploration game, part prerendered adventure.
The main gameplay is running through the various worlds known as DREAMWILDS, where the game takes heavy inspiration from old source movement through it's reliance on Bhopping to get around quickly, to a normal player this might throw them off for a while, but it's very fun once you get the hang of it. The difficulty curve is also good to play with when you really get the hang of how everything works, the learning curve is just the hard part to play through.
It's understandable if someone doesn't enjoy this one as much as the others, but there are still plenty of things to see here, can't wait for the DLC in the future!

Started the game up, went into the tutorial, then went into the main game. Got reamed by twenty enemies I couldn't possibly see without eyes in the back of my head, had no direction aside from just going forward until something happened.
The aesthetic of this game rocks but playing it is miserable.
