Just to mention the differences to Space Rangers:

Overall, it is a decent game in an unusual genre. I cannot remember a game in this genre for a long time.

Very much enjoying my time playing Starsim. Plays very well on steam deck. Dev is active and updating game regularly. Very chill and enjoyable space game.
Edit: after 3 hrs the game is growing on me. I'm really not sure what the negative reviews are about. The dev is actively addressing issues and the game is really fun. Peoples expectations are likely too high for an indie game. I've played Space Rangers before and I actually prefer this game over it. Personal preference.
