Played this game to stream. It's a very short horror game, and I definitely feel like the developer should have added more before releasing the game. I would say, without deaths, the game takes a little under 45 minutes. It's a good idea, don't get me wrong, but it's INCREDIBLY short.
The developer has potential. The story, puzzles, sneaking around, etc was really good - but don't expect to get toooo many scares out of it (I'm someone who scares easy, so that says a lot).
What I would definitely recommend that I took notes of for the next release
- On the locked doors, indicate which door it is and what key it needs. -- On Room 201 that needed a key, I took a good amount of time looking for which door was 201, but there were no indicators so I kept wandering around aimlessly. Signs by the doors or above them would definitely help (since it looked like it took place in a prison or hospital)
- Make the player character move just a LITTLE faster. Not by too much, but a little. The character is way too slow and runs out of stamina way too fast for how slow he is. You still wanna make sure you can get caught by the monster(s), but I honestly feel that running away from the monster and BARELY making it is more of an adrenaline rush than getting caught over and over.
- Fix the monsters: When I was in the downstairs area and got a key going back upstairs to progress, the monster's agro would still be on me, making him stay right by the stairs. When I would have to get down, it would kill me immediately, rather than walking away after losing sight of me while I was on a floor above him.
Other than that, it's a pretty well developed game and definitely should have had rather than the way it ended.
Looking forward to the next one!
