Sleeping Dogs: Top Dog Gold Pack is DLC for Sleeping Dogs which gives you a large number of every type of experience points in the game. This DLC had been gifted to me, and it did make my runthrough of the game a lot faster/easier, but there is nothing provided in this DLC which isn't already in the game - it just takes out the progress of doing so. When combined with the other experience DLC, you'll have already unlocked more than half of the perks in the game based off of experience. I'm giving this a recommend because it's extra and completely extraneous, but it provides a short cut/boost for people who are having a hard time with the game or don't have as much time to devote to the game. But if you don't want to have that leg up, don't pick this up.

You immediately Face, Cop, and Triad experience points right after the tutorial. Straight-up ruins the game's progression system. Do not buy.

I see a lot of Negative comments, but you don't have to buy this DLC if you don't want to. It does what it's supposed to. It works. If you don't want a short cut, don't buy it! Geez.

Sadly getting all the DLC for cheap can come with a major downside, being this pack. Never again can i start a new game and have to claw my way up the progression ladder. Was it great the first few times i replayed the game? yeah, but when I want the full experience and end up being shot up to level 8 after mission 1, not fun.

People act like they cant go to the "manage DLC" tab and "UNCHECK" this dlc so they can play this game without the necessary help. YOU ALL DO KNOW YOU CAN TURN THAT OFF RIGHT?! Overall this DLC makes the game easy yes

If you suck at the game or don't have much time to yourself i highly reccomend this If you're a hardcore gamer tho (like me) just don't get it, it kills progression and if you also have the silver pack you can get every upgrade within 2-3 missions. But whatever, it does it's job and it does it well

If you want to experience the story asap and without any difficulty, then maybe you could enjoy this DLC, but it's essentially just Pay 2 Win in a single player game. Takes out the progression and makes the game more boring.

What's the point of player progression when this automatically maxes you out? It's the only DLC resembling a Pay 2 Win DLC in sleeping dogs. Skip unless you want your game to be even shorter and easier.
