I like the unconventional approach to making a game. The neural network pictures are really scary sometimes. And I think there will be a lot more games using this technology in the future.

Bought it going in blindly Still wasn't worth it Played it in english, was the most incomprehensible thing, waste of an hour and I even want my dollar back. Too bad I bought it like 3 months ago and didn't play until now. Don't buy it! !

I WAS about to leave this game a neutral review... Despite feeling disappointed by the incredibly disjointed story, I figured that I shouldn't expect everything to cater so much to English speakers, since this game is originally Russian, and it's probably a lot better in it's original script. This sentiment was held when I was under the assumption it was still being sold for $0.99 (what I received it for)--that price sort of excuses a lot of flaws and a very short runtime.. But now that I've come back to review it, and it's being sold for $9.99 instead? That price makes this 'maybe' into a hard no. I thought the snippets of text in the listing screenshots had such a great, otherworldly tone to them, and I wasn't necessarily let down on that front when I got into the game. However, that's also the problem. This game tells a short story, one I assume is supposed to be linear. At least in English, while the writing works very well in short chunks, it can be pretty difficult to follow as a progressing story. Sometimes this is disorienting in the enjoyably surreal way of an acid trip, but most of the time, it's just kind of frustrating because this seems to be a really great story... But you just can't figure it out. I have to wonder if the text was AI generated, too. Also, they really under utilized the medium of AI horror. Just playing around with AI image generation a tiny bit, I've seen first hand what kind of grotesque and unsettling things you can make, so I was really excited to see someone had tried using that to their advantage in a horror game.. But the visuals in this game are just kind of weird at most. The scares were few and far between and I feel it easily could have been ramped up, even with the limited tools on hand. If this goes back to $0.99, maybe my opinion will change, but right now I don't think this is a $9.99 experience for anyone in the world, no matter what language they play in.
