I would love this game if it weren't for two major issues:
1. The handling. For cars with drift handling, they feel way too twitchy to me, they feel a lot like drifting in first 3 Ridge Racer games, and that's not a compliment. For cars with grip handling, they understeer like a boat, making tracks like San Francisco agonizing to drive around.
2. The difficulty, or lack thereof. Even on "Extreme" difficulty, the AI opponents serve better as obstacles than proper opponents. I can consistently lap the back 3 or 4 racers before the end of a 4 lap race.
The game is certainly a looker. The visuals are superb, and really give that Virtua Racing vibe I'm sure they were going for. I'm sure this looks great in VR, too (as it does support VR). It's too bad that the game doesn't really pose any sort of challenge beyond trying not to crash into other cars as you make your way into first place sometime in the second lap.
