It's a rougelike Touhou
Still have quite a few things to unlock at this stage of the game but I have completed a run on normal difficulty so I feel comfortable making a fuller review.
At it's core, it's just a really simple rougelike bullet hell with a cute artstyle, but in a lot of cases simplicity is best. The complexity in this game comes from learning the different types of attacks enemies have and learning how your character works best, so that you can curate the item selection to strengthen your character's strong points or cover their weaker points. For me personally, it takes a bit of brainpower to dodge the attacks, but it doesn't necessarily feel overwhelming to understand when to use my attacks.
This game isn't overly complex, but not overly simple either. Something you can pick up and play immediately and keep playing to unlock the other characters and items!

What an incredible idea for a game, and executed so well. Playing solo is very fun, but multiplayer is what this was made for. The hard difficulty is a really fun challenge, and Lunar really gives that feeling of high end raiding in MMOs where you need to learn a fight to succeed. The roguelike elements are pretty decent, nothing super wild, and I didn't really pay much attention to the story. The rabbit girls are very cute tho :)

Incredible game, lots of fun both solo and with friends. Difficulty ranges from fairly simple to intense challenges, which together with the roguelike mechanics and different classes makes it very replayable and gives you the freedom to get the experience you want from it. The wonderful art and music tie it all together into the perfect package that I would recommend to everyone.

(Really fun game by an indie solo-dev. It's difficult, but restarting is very quick so you can get right back into the game.)

Local co-op is not dead. One of my favorite game to bust out with friends, even if they've never played before.

Rabbit and Steel is a phenomenal experience for the asking price. The game takes all the enjoyable bits of MMO boss raids and streamlines it into a roguelike co-op experience. The difficulty is also quite demanding, despite the visual identity possibly tricking you into thinking it'll be a light experience I was pleasantly surprised with the difficulty of a lot of the bosses and stages especially on Lunar difficulty!
The game has a lot on offer and is pretty easy to understand and pick up on without having much mmo or roguelike experience. I would heavily recommend playing this with friends though, most my enjoyability with the game stemmed from playing with my best friend and screaming at eachother on a call as we narrowly dodged attacks and worked in unison to take down some of the harder challenges in the game.
Rabbit and Steel is definitely worth your time and money!
