If you are here for Single Player Offline WoW or FF14, you won't find it here.
Now that we are on the same page, what is Tower Walker. It's an Idle Auto-battler RPG.
Is it the best out there? Probably not.
But is it serviceable? I think yes.
One thing that is a bit sad is the gear variety. The current end game BiS doesn't have the modifiers for you to choose your bonus, unlike mid game sets. The bonuses are nice but like so many (too many?) other things are overshadowed by the Ascension system. The weapon is the same deal.
Ultimately, the only thing that matters for end game are Ascensions, enchants on weapon and rings, what pet you choose and how much you are willing to ascend 3 alts to sacrifice at an altar for random permanent bonuses.
Same goes for skills. Every Archmage will be the same. You will get 100% crit chance, you will get 60% capped dodge chance and 95% damage reduction, regardless of what you play. You like it or you don't, it's definitely a game design choice for sure. I don't really mind myself for what the game has to offer but I can understand if you do. My main is a Tyrant Beastkin, and while the Attack Speed bonus was nice in leveling, it now doesn't matter at 150 ascensions.
I dit get 100% achievement for it. Of my 430ish hours of play, I spent maybe 20 of those in active play, babysitting the max difficulty dungeons just in case, the rest was done Idle while watching series with minimal micromanagement, so if you just want to do a cheap game 100% with little to no efforts, it can easily be done.
I would still recommend it, only on sale, if you have an Idle game itch with some RPG elements to scratch, you definitely don't need 400 hrs like me to finish it.
I just run it sometimes to prestige my crafting level and farming mats for enchanting my rings while waiting for the next content update.
I may change this review after the Glimmerstone Update releases depending on what comes with it.

Really fun and relaxing game to have in the background well playing games. :D
The game is easy at the start but gets harder the higher up you get in the tower.

It does exactly what I need, a fun RPG game to run in the background while you are working and check back once in a while. And as far as I know it's the only (paid) game that does what it is trying to do. The game has a lot of heart and I am glad it is simple enough to not waste so much time optimizing my build to progress further.
I grew up in the flash game era too, but admittedly I don't like the current art style in this game very much, hope the next game has a different type of art (e.g.: like Adventure Quest) and better model proportion. Will keep an eye on whatever you guys come up next.

It's a decent Auto-Battle game, didn't regret paying 8 euro for it, and now I see it's on sale for for 2 euro so I would say go for it and see how it goes, you can always refund <2hrs if you expected something else, I didn't want to refund, never thought of it. (Posting this after I saw they celebrate 'only' having 200 reviews, I kind of felt sad for them but they show hapiness)
