First i love the VA mans they make these characters and im always listening with a big smile with all characters so far. Second and hear me out...THE INTRO SONG IS A BANGER!!!!! I often find my self just on the intro screen rocking out for 5 minutes minimum. Combat is fun for me and helps me itch that ADHD FINGER BANGING on my controller whilst lost in dodging dipping ducking and HITTING ENEMIES IN THE KEYHOLE {so to speak} WITH MY GLORIOUS JAVELIN

Unfortunately it's painfully boring. Great art direction tho

Solid Hadeslike. Fun gameplay loop and good action. Art style and music is also good. Voice acting is only ok. Steal for the price though.

Certified Heavy Metal Fantasy. If you enjoy not just Hades, but also Karlach from Baldur's Gate 3, then you'll love this game.

I tried to get into it, but I think there are better Roguelites you should explore first. I'd still recommend as it's got a more kid friendly tone than most. The problem is some of the voice-lines, even passive ones that help direct you where to go, suffer from the 'Navi' problem Ocarina of Time had, only more so because it's the MC and it's for almost every instance you find a door or gate you can't open, which when each stage is structured in a similar way, you encounter it a lot. Some of the sound effects for story dialogue seem tinny aswell, like they're muffled. Definitely got interesting visuals but with the studio that made it is shutting down, so it feels like more of a unfinished game than one intended for release and there aren't great signs it'll be updated. Definitely pick it up if you're curious but be aware of what the game is going in.

I want to like this one, because the music is good and the artstyle is fun. But actually playing it? Well, the vibes are off. The action just doesn't pop, and I find myself taking damage far more than other games. All because the character feels a bit like a tank, and using ranged stops you in place. I feel like it just one or two balance patches to add a bit of variety to levels and builds.

Bought this game because the aesthetics seemed very cool and one-of-a-kind, with lots of polish and charm. I don't mind that it's a Hades clone mechanically because it seems to have it's own heart. Unfortunately, it somehow features no control rebinding in the year of our lord 2025, so I'll be immediately refunding it.

It's a shame that the studio basically shut down just as this game released. If you like roguelikes with a bit of charm you might like this. There's also a demo you can try too just to be sure.

I don't really like this which is such a shame because I really want to. The music is awesome and the visuals are really unique, but unfortunately that's pretty much all the good I have to say. I love Hades so when I saw a cheap Hades-alike I was pretty excited, but unfortunately pretty much everything else feel lackluster; the combat is too slow because it feels like Clef does so little damage, even once you've collected a few items. The visual clarity is pretty much non-existant; there are too many visual effects which looks like explosions of colours, which often clogs up what's happening on the screen leading to mistakes that don't feel like your fault. Bosses in this game especially have very unclear tells, which combined with massive health bars just make them frustrating to fight. It's not terrible, but it's not good, which is a damn shame!

I picked up Reignbreaker because it reminded me of Hades. I was hoping it had learned from Hades’ formula and could offer something fresh. Unfortunately, the game fell short in several key areas—gameplay depth, creativity, and voice acting. I played for about an hour and a half, reaching the first boss after four runs. During those runs, it quickly became clear that the floors repeat themselves with very little variation. After beating the first boss, new characters and power-ups were introduced, but even then, the gameplay felt mostly unchanged. The upgrades didn’t evolve or impact the core mechanics in any meaningful way. I tried different combinations of javelins and power-ups, but the experience remained flat and repetitive. The voice acting isn’t terrible, but it lacks emotional weight. I often felt more anger and intensity reading the lines myself than what was conveyed by the voice actors. The characters argue constantly, but it’s delivered in a tone that feels like forced, monotonic banter rather than genuine conflict. On the bright side, the music is excellent. It gives the battles energy—even if the battles themselves grow repetitive. One mechanic I initially found interesting was the bell enemies. After defeating them, they don't actually disappear—they linger on the screen, waiting to be "unlocked" using the key-shaped javelin. While this was a neat idea at first, it quickly became annoying. It interrupts the flow of combat, especially when I was in the middle of a tense fight. Doing this repeatedly—what felt like a hundred times—made it feel more like a chore than a rewarding mechanic. In the end, Reignbreaker feels like a game with potential, but it doesn't do enough to evolve its ideas or keep the player engaged. I wanted to love it, but it left me underwhelmed.
