So i'm glad this game was bought on sale because it wasnt even worth the $29. The camera angle sucked so bad like i would be in a room and the camera didnt catch up yet so i could not see what was ahead. the story made zero sense.Do not buy this game. Also the game went too fast.

Wow I don't think I've ever played a game that ran this bad. It's crazy because LN 1 and 2 ran fine on any graphics setting and look pretty similar to this. Wasn't surprised when I looked at the exe and saw that this runs unreal engine 5 😬

Endless bad camera angles and cheap deaths. Multiple bugs requiring checkpoint restarts.

REALLY good horror game, it has amazing scenes/area's
the puzzles and the hats are fun, the monsters are absolutely insane
i did get 15fps in specific area's, but it got resolved after putting my graphics in the lowest it could be
playing this with a friend is imo the way to do it, so much more fun and increases your playtime due to funny deaths

It's actually ridiculous selling a game at $70NZD thats under 5 hours long.
Played this through co-op and my brother over 2 sessions and we really enjoyed our time. If the price wasn't a factor I would absolutely recommend purchasing - the atmosphere is insane, the grotesue creatures, the movement, the chase scenes - everything screams indie horror at its peak. We missed alot of things, lost connection a few times and had to restart checkpoints from lag... but even thinking we found majority of things, we got the normal ending. All in all it was a genuinely terrifying but satisfying experience...except its $70NZD
Even playing through it again solo to get achievements, it makes you wonder: whats the point of the masks when the majority of them are found near the end of the game? Why have a secret ending if its literally a 30second cutscene that barely adds or changes things? All of this comes into question and sours the mouth ONLY because you know your wallet is hurting more than anything. The experience would feel worth it, the length forgotten, questions? who cares - you'd have a best selling experience if you HALVED the price, or even if you were given a free copy for a friend? It feels so greedy.

The real Little Nightmares 3. Simply astounding visually, mechanically, and especially in its audio/atmosphere. Must play for co-op horror fans.

Atmospheric, unsettling, and haunting. I loved every minute of this game from the exploration to the designs and the mysterious story you put together piece by piece. It's great with a friend but also playable solo. Works well on Steam Deck. I'm eagerly anticipating the DLC chapters.

I played this game quite a lot, and I’m going to be brutally honest: do NOT buy it. And no, my main issue is not even the story or the overall theme although that part is disappointing too. Yes, the game has a disturbing atmosphere, and at moments it genuinely feels unsettling, maybe even somewhat similar in mood to Little Nightmares, but that’s where the comparison ends. Unlike Little Nightmares, there is almost no meaningful narrative logic here, no clever environmental details, no subtle hints that slowly piece together a deeper story. Little Nightmares gave players small clues everywhere tiny details that felt like hidden gems and made the mystery worth exploring. This game? It feels confused, underdeveloped, and hollow. So if you came here expecting even a fraction of that Little Nightmares magic for nostalgic reasons, leave now you will be disappointed, badly. But now let’s talk about the real problem, because this is what completely kills the game: the optimization is catastrophically bad. I’m not saying the optimization is “a bit rough” or “needs improvement.” I mean this game practically has no functional optimization at all. The frame pacing is awful, FPS stability is awful, graphical settings barely behave properly, and performance tuning feels almost nonexistent. Do not even waste your time buying this thinking you’ll fix it with settings. You won’t. And the worst part? It barely matters what hardware you have. Whether you’re running something weaker like a GTX 1650, RTX 2060, RTX 3060, RX 6600, or stronger hardware like an RTX 3070, RTX 3080, RTX 4070, RTX 4080, RX 7900 XT, or even top-tier setups with an RTX 4090 paired with an i7/i9 or Ryzen 7/9, everyone is in the same boat. The game runs horribly across the board. Average playtime is around 7–8 hours, and out of those 8 hours, expect to waste at least 2 hours trying to fix optimization issues, changing settings, testing configs, restarting, hoping something improves. And even after all that, around 35–40% of your experience will still be spent playing under 20 FPS with stutters, frame drops, and miserable performance. That is unacceptable. This review exists so others don’t make the same mistake I did. I wasted money on this mess, and I genuinely regret it. This is not a finished product it feels like an unoptimized disaster sold at a price it absolutely does not deserve. Save your money, save your patience, and stay far away from this game.
