all there is to do is walk around a dim grainy forest. you can collect junk and bring it back to your bunker. there is nothing beyond that

I've been having a good time with this game so far. Been playing singleplayer, I love having difficulty options including a custom mode that allows you to tweak things to your liking. I know it's an odd thing to praise, but it's something that's missing from other co-op oriented games like Lethal Company and Repo. Very good for offline play. As for the game itself I love the aesthetic, the exploration of procedural environments, scavenging, and the sound design. The looming air raid siren as a Shining is about to roll in is phenomenal and I'm interested to see where future developments go. Hopefully there will be an option to get less bunkers on a high Shining count. While they are awesome, you can miss the open environments of rural and urban Zaslavie. It's also good on Steam Deck. Which I often bring to work to pass time on long delays with nothing else to do.

It is a very good game not that much to do around emission 50 but replayable in my opinion if you love these types of game's.

Controller support has been broken for over a month as of June 2026, an issue acknowledged by the devs but a fix isn’t currently being prioritized, according to them in the forum. This game should not be labeled as playable on Steam Deck, much less verified until this is fixed.

it's so adventuring with anomaly world, mutant creatures, freaks and monsters, the looting and discovering is fun, and amazing PCG map mechanism, the scary bunker, the radiation challenges, the simple game design with beautiful touches make them more fun with your friends. JUST DON'T FORGET TO SAVE AFTER EACH DAY.

This game is perfect for people who want pure survival/scavenging gameplay. No strings attached, no 30 paragraph tutorials and storylines, none of that bs. You are surviving, that is all you are doing, and you are gonna have a heck of a lot of fun doing it. The developer of this game is a solo dev and I love supporting indie games. Especially because they said that this is their dream game which makes me want to support what they are doing all the more. There isn't a metric ton of content yet, and it can be kinda grindy. But that's kind of what it is all about because you are just trying to survive and scavenge for cool junk, guns, and supplies. This gets a 9.5/10 from me for being so simple, yet so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun to play by yourself and with friends. BTW dev if you are reading this can you please make radios that work and broadcast music in the shelter that would be so cool :)

One thing that wasn't told from the game preview's is that it is an extraction looter. I thought it would be an apocalyptic free roam looter like Fallout or Stalker. Never mind that because I still very much enjoyed myself through a couple panicked runs back to the bunker (so far). As well as fighting the AI and avoiding the anomalies is a fun challenge especially if you go in blind. If it is on sale you should pick it up and play it! Also human poop. No more needs said. 10/10

If you're a poor soul who always wanted to experience the world of METRO and S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ computer could never run them, then I recommend MISERY. It's a unique experience because it combines both worlds with flawless performance and requirements that even a toaster with a screen could handle. Do you play with a damn poorly modeled 3D character? Yes. But what did you expect? Don't expect too much. I mean, if you bought it like I did, it's either out of pure morbid curiosity, or because you're a damn poor soul. Let's not kid ourselves. But unlike the masses who only spend money on empty AAA graphics to inflate their egos and hide their lack of skill, true intellectuals—like me—know how to find gold in the mud. And let me tell you, this radioactive mud is a damn stroke of genius. The Triumph of Post-Apocalyptic Minimalism MISERY doesn't need 4K textures or hyper-realistic physics to deliver a slap of pure atmosphere. While the rest of the world needs an exorbitantly priced graphics card to feel "scared," we only need a handful of rough polygons, gloomy lighting, and the constant ticking of a Geiger counter to enter a state of absolute paranoia. It's the democratization of nuclear suffering. The game mercilessly throws you into a procedurally generated disaster zone where every day is a miracle. What it lacks in budget, it more than makes up for in soul and brutal mechanics: Ruthless Survival (For Alpha Males of the Zone): There's no magic autosave or health regeneration by hiding behind cover. If you're not careful, an anomaly will disintegrate you, a mutant will rip your head off, or a bandit will steal everything down to your boots. Resource Management and Construction: Forget about luxury. Building your bunker and crafting your weapons from the junk you find in the radioactive ruins generates a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ primal satisfaction. Every bullet counts, every can of rotten food is treasure. Quality Co-op: The best part is that you don't have to be the only miserable one. You can drag your friends (probably just as broke as you) into this co-op hell for up to 10 players. There's nothing quite like watching your squad get wiped out by a miscalculated anomaly while you just barely survive. The Verdict of Gamer Elitism At the end of the day, looking down on those who play mainstream games is a priceless pleasure. MISERY is ugly, clunky, and its characters look like bargain bin items from a 2005 3D modeling store, but it has such addictive gameplay and such a well-designed loop that it devours 150GB games. You did well to buy it, whether out of morbid curiosity or because of your budget. You ended up finding a cult classic that runs at a stable 60 FPS while your PC breathes easy. Welcome to the Zone, fellow budget gamers.
