Buy this game if you want a headache and learning Chinese with the support team, otherwise don't buy it. They don't understand English because i'm not alone with this kind of problem. I think the Devs team give up on this game, it has been a little more than 9 months for the last update or any news. The last update was also not focus on stability, so at the end less playable... I do see the title screen of the game, it's cool and all, but no point if i can't access the game.

Before I talk about this game, I’m putting out a desperate plea for help! There apparently was another very similar looking game by the same company called “Armored Cavalry: Metalline” and I don’t know what happened, but it still has a page up, but it’s no longer available for early access, or demo. So if the developer sees this, or another fan who can help me get a steam download code or even from another store/place on the internet. I don’t care where it comes from… I have become completely obsessed with tracking this game down, and it’s driving me crazy!!! Look, I’m at the extreme farthest end for the opposite of wealthy, but if you want some money or games, we can work out some kind of trade, and I don’t care if I get the bad side of the deal. I’m a sucker for isometric action games, but there aren’t enough mech games like this to play, and I think this one might be the best as far as the graphic presentation, amazing controls, etc. thanks in advance to whoever comes through! Oh yeah, BUY THIS GAME!

I had fun with this game, the x box controller worked like a charm, game reminds me of R-type, or Galaga , style game play. Yes by the references you can tell, I'm far too old for this shit. Game was stable for me, no issues. Not sure why the neg reviews, they probably need to get back to base and figure out what the problem is. I have no idea if this dev is active but assume they are, for no more then it cost me on the summer sale who cares? Even if it was finished tomorrow for public access it's normally like 8.99, it's already a ten dollar game what do ya expect? I got something I rarely get from new games anymore, fun.

This is not really a negative review as much as a "Not Quite Yet" review. I'm confident that by the end of Early Access this game will be fantastic. The good news with Armoured Cavalry is that the core game loop is absolutely fantastic. It's a twin-stick isometric shooter with multiple mech classes, loads of weapons, dozens of enemy types, permanent mech upgrades with loads of trees, etc. Everything I want in a mech game is already here at least in visible and polished form. Where it gets unique and interesting is that during a mission you find rogue-like upgrades which range from passive stat upgrades, to automated drops, to "Supply drops", to being able to summon friendly tanks to your side. This supply systems gives the hint of a strategic feeling and definitely makes this game something to watch. But the progression so far is bad enough that I can't actually recommend it. The 4 missions in game are difficult enough that you need to upgrade your mech to stand any chance, but the rewards are too small to upgrade your mech at a reasonable pace. I -WANT- to play with the bigger guns and try different builds but its so insanely slow to get them. The real problem is that the only way to get money is random drops. If you're unlucky you can complete a mission and still earn half of what you need for a new upgrade/weapon. Your luck also influences the drop rate of the keys to open the roguelike chest upgrades. You die often, for very little reward so that you can eventually build a good mech. Luck ALSO impacts whether you actually get any supply points to summon air drops and tank. It's more frustrating than fun when luck fails you on every front. I'd love to see the dev rework the rewards to pay you small money for every kill, and a larger bonus for successfully completing a mission. This will allow you to spend more time upgrading and modifying your mech to play with all of your toys. Lower the prices of the low tier upgrades and raise the top tier so that you can experiment. It sounds like there's an unlockable full-on replayable mode, but I haven't been able to beat the game yet. It'd be nice if there was smaller procedural missions (Or at least more difficulties) where you can win sometimes in order to buy the upgrades for the core story missions. You need to win some and lose some to keep the player motivated to play more. I really do like this game so far and i'm excited to have played it. It's exceptionally well-made and with some reworking to the balance it's going to become an easy recommendation.
