Overall an enjoyable experience. Story driven with casual elements of combat, RPG, crafting and some grinding for resources. Nice visual style, OK music and sound effects. Pretty impressive scope and polish for a relatively small developer. A nice way to spend a few hours of casual gameplay every now and then. The devs are friendly and respond quickly to questions and bug reports. My one gripe with the game is that the pacing is pretty bad. Progress is locked behind quests and resource gridning that sometimes take too long and then you sort of unlock "everything" for the next tier. It could have been portioned out better and be more linear instead of zig zagging all over the map. In particular in the early game. That said, I did finish the game with almost all side quests completed. I played solo and enjoyed it, but I suspect the game might be even better with some friends in co op.

Steam Authentication Failed. Ergo game won't start OFFLINE. Why does it have steam deck support then? Gameplay is grindy and unnecessarily frustrating. Constantly running out of INVENTORY SPACE because for some reason wood and stones can stack only up to 20.... Nah man. Waste someone else's time. I'm done.

This game is good . It’s a good looking stardew valley minus the villagers … so it’s good lol . It’s slower paced but it’s decent . For everyone staying inventory is tiny .. it’s small but you build a bank storage like 20 mins in and just have an intention when gathering it’s not in any way “painful” just mindful . You get a horse a few hours in which is fast but does not turn on a dime but no biggie . Turn off using your scrolls there’s 0 point in NOT doing this because all your doing is working on stuff in your camp and gathering for it . Also there’s a camp right by the starting area with 3 dudes and a chest . You get scrolls to transport you to camp and to other villages in these and I assume it’s random because I got a scroll to get to first village (that feels an eon away at the start but it’s not lol) from that chest and can faked it daily so I feel ALL the bad reviews are either people who played it for 5 seconds or have never used inventory management 🤷🏼‍♂️ .. like it’s slower paced and not instant goals but not in a bad way . The quests are kinda vague .. but can usually re read something someone said if stuck …… ON THAT NOTE——> if you get it there’s a mission like 10 mins in to meet some dude after he gives you a map … do NOT follow the map … follow compass … he’s not at the map destination…. …. Don’t follow that map bro ..🙂‍↔️🤣. Fun game . Few minor issues but minor and only if splitting hairs. Negative reviews for inventory are RIDICULOUS 🤣

Fun little survival craft. As some others have said yes it is a tad grindy, but aren't most/all survival crafts? The game has a fun loop that keeps me saying "just one more day, one more quest, etc" and next thing I know it's 1am. If that isn't the sign of a good game, I don't know what is. There are a few things that are rough around the edges, or seem lacking (ranged combat, gliders, etc) but overall very fun and I plan to 100% it. I hope the game gets DLC/future updates as I would love to come back to this world. 👍

I bought this game without reading reviews. It seemed like the kind of game for my Wife and I to play. Progression feels quite slow. nearly two hours into the game and still have not unlocked a backpack to aid the annoyingly small inventory. Enemies that spawn can easily 1 or 2 shot you if you're not careful. Quests are quite boring. Go here, collect this, come back get basically no reward. This game is stuggling to find it's idendity. I can't tell if it is trying to be a cozy game, free2play game (aka lack of content and extremely slow progression), or a survival crafting game. Can't say that I recommend. Every part of the game I've experienced so far feels like it needs a lot of polish and refinement. I can't say there is a single part of the game that is actually good other than maybe the art style if you're into that. Edit: Now 28 Hours into the game. Quest progression is messy. It isn't clear what order to do missions in and often you're left just having to complete all of them just to unlock what you want or progress the game. The way you expand inventory is dumb, just give me a damn backpack. Or at least increase the starting stack size by at least 1.5x with a couple more slots. Early game is quite annoying in lue of it. I can't tell you how many times there is an objective to complete but it gives you little or no clue where to go do to it. Usually a wiki or reddit is the answer but that isn't a good option for this game and usually you use those options to augment what is in the game. This game really doesn't give you a choice for many quests. Either brute force or reddit. This is a common complaint and should be improved/fixed. Currently I've been stuck trying to find the carpenter to enable the quest line for trying to unlock workshop level 4 for almost 5 hours. I've spoken with everyone I can see and done all side missions and tasks. Likely have run into a bug. After 28 hours into the game I don't really feel like starting over to try again and hope it doesn't bug out. And yes I've completed the third altar boss. I've done literally everything I can find to do and seemingly can not progress anymore because I can't craft titanium reinforcements. I feel this game would be better off as a free2play with optional support dlc. There isn't enough content or polish in this game to warrant the price in my opinion. Most of the content is just riding a horse or traveling between 2 points. If you enable unlimited travel scrolls it cuts the content down by a lot. Half the reason why I even have 28 hours in the game is waiting for something to complete rather than any actionable gameplay. I really want to love this game. I've had some fun. But I'm pained so much with long periods of boredom. Even when adjusting the in game settings, day/night time, damage, etc. to my liking. A note for the dev: Survival games should not start off so painfully and slowly. Please consider increasing the starting inventory size and giving more weapon options / more options for increasing base damage. Also FYI, travel time and wait time are not content. I've explored the entire map in the first 10 hours of the game. With a map this small, it shouldn't be taking 2+ minutes (without the horse) to get to the next POI.
