dont bother, the videos make it look like the handling is good but its actually awful. it doesnt matter if you use a keyboard or a controller (even if you mess with the sensitivity settings)

Great Game have a very small group of players and a discord server (dont try to join team from discord they want only the top 10 players on leaderboard) also game use Melonloader to add more tracks

Pick this game if: 1) You are ok with rare small updates 2) Lack of tracks 3) You have at least one friend who is willing to compete in PvP mode It is a very small, but yet a fun game.

Garbage controls, sweaty AF people, awesome game!! Grind like hell half of your lifespan just to get visual customization options. Some cars are absolute ridiculous to drive, it says controller recommended but its still garbage. Sure every game has a learning curve, but even after spending 20 hours on just one car (The Evo) and mastering some tracks (Like 4 of them), you lose and never win anything. A small tap at the barrier? BOOOM!! Check your Engine BRo!!! It just fell off. You lose the whole game. I atleast like the concept and how it is, the tracks are also nice although some of them aren't fit for the speed and feel of the game. ATM Im not sure whether the sweaty people are on wheel or controller but as a controller player this game is Good AND BAD. Dont drive the Nissan 180SX. And the RX-7 is OVERPOWERED and always defeats you (even with a shitty driver, its too fast at drifts and even straights). Its an okay game... 20 dollars?? NOPE Get it on discount. PLUS: Please reduce the Grind Amount of this game, I know that spending time with the car is important but even after grinding for like 40 hours and you cannot reach level 100 on a car??? SHAME. And there are like idk some 25 cars, What tf do you expect? Games are fun when they not SO grindy as this game is. If you want to keep the fun in the game, sure make it slightly grindy but not this much.... ATM this system doesnt "encourage" players to try out different cars and customize them to their liking. Plus for the taps during PvPs, there is a difference between a "tap/scratch" and "smash into the barrier and rolling down the cliff". Fix it please.

The game has potential but the "Don't hit anything" in tutorial too punishing for newer player and it constantly punishes you.

After two years it´s clear that the devs dont care about this game, every update takes 7 months to en up changing 2 small things, 0 connection with the playerbase, they just dont want to hear, last update they introduced the gt86, a car that has no power and little to no potential, no new tracks, no balancing, nothing, I wouldn´t reccomend this game, it has a decent fanbase that most likely will switch to another game just because of theese incompetent devs, quite sad to be honest, Auggust (dev) if you read this, it´s very difficult to ruin a game with such potential as this one congrats I guess :/

Wasted potential, I love the game but the devs are putting out an update once a blue moon just for it to be abysmal dogshit. Cars are insanely unbalanced and at this point it seems on purpose considering how bad the GT86 is. As time passes we get fewer and fewer news on the game's progress and at this point I doubt any work is even being done to it. Devs really don't care about the community and refuse to listen, it pains me to say it, but please, don't get this.

The devs have failed to communicate anything and shown little to no transparancy when it comes to updates and whats coming up for Touge Shakai, just the feature of allowing us to host MFG inspired event took longer than half a year for the developer to add, which most likely took 5 minutes to code. This game has been one of my biggest drives, running Tatakai Shakai, streaming infront of 20-50 viewers, something ive never done before, was because of how many people enjoy this game. Yet the developers seems to think of this as a hobby project and just has full radio silence. We have never been recognized for anything, we are running a community of 1300 people, many of them making free content, streaming, organizing tournaments and divisions. Yet developers havent once recognized us or done anything to make our lives easier. Please dont buy this game, you are just setting yourself up to be invested, to then be disapointed with whos developing it. Its not worth it. Even if this game has a niche no other car game has. Just dont.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my VR Beta gameplay & early impressions here: https://youtu.be/Rhbyh-9zeU4 Yes, Touge Shakai has VR support, although it is still in Beta. To play it in VR, simply start the game, then choose VR beta from the menu. The game will then start in VR if you have your VR headset ready. Please note that VR motion controllers are NOT supported. You can play with KBM, gamepad, or wheel support (limited). This is a fun game for what it is. It's budget-priced so don't expect it to compete with $60 priced racing games. However, for the budget price, it's cool. I like the focus on 90s Japanese car culture. The maps are pretty. The game does focus on drifting. However, it's not a sim car racing game, it's a simcade. The physics work for what it's going for. I found it fun. It's challenging to drift, but not too challenging. When I was able to drift around corners, it was thrilling, but to be honest, I am not very good at it still. Anyways, it's an easy recommend for me. I had no performance issues on my RTX 3080. I had fun simply playing the time attack and choosing either day or night, uphill or downhill, and the weather (clear, foggy, rainy). Rate 7/10.
I bought this game!
