This is such a lovely game. Even though, as a focus tool, there isn't all that much in the way of real game play, the ways in which you can customize your experience make the whole thing feel so cozy, it's hard to not want to always have it pulled up on a second screen. The art style is really lovely, and there are enough options for room decor, clothing, and companions to appeal to a lot of different tastes. Finding all the spirits and unlocking their different customizations appeals to the inner collector in me, and doing the daily tasks and timers for the xp has, on multiple occasions, encouraged me to work on something that I otherwise would have procrastinated, which is great. The music is also lovely, and I love the different playlists for different moods. Plus, it feels like they are often adding new content, which makes it fun to come back if I haven't loaded it up in a while. All in all, this game, to me, fully serves the purpose it set out to serve in a way that definitely makes it worth the price of entry and I'm definitely looking forward to having it for a long time to come!

Highly customiseable avatars and decor, celebrates diversity by offering not only a wide array of skintones, hairstyles, pride flag themed items, but even a wheelchair option for the desk chair. The soundscape options are high quality and many, there are a ton of customiseable options for basically anything from the pomodoro study timer to the to-do list. This game also has shadow quality settings, which was a nice surprise, as running it in the background on highest quality can be a little taxing on laptops, and considering the entire point of the game is to have it idling in the background, that's great.
I also very much appreciate and respect that there aren't any cosmetic microtransactions that use real money ingame. I think that while simple, this game is incredibly effective and good at what it's aiming for, and the devs definitely deserve praise for it.
There is, however, one gripe I have with it. As much as this game promotes disability inclusion with the addition of the wheelchair item, ect, it's a little egrigious that the game has no option to increase the text size for the menus. Altering textbox transparency simply isn't enough, and while you can rescale the resolution of the game and SOME textboxes, this simply isn't consistent or accessible enough for anyone with a vision disorder. This is a very basic and easily-implemented setting that I do hope gets added in the future as I have friends with worse vision than me that I would love to recommend this game to.

I absolutely adore this game/tool. It's always so useful for even the smallest things, like task management and timers... And the fact that it looks so gorgeous, and cute and is just overall relaxing-- It's just perfect! Even if it never had any updates or add ons, I would buy this all over again.

This game is nice for those dealing stressful days! just open the game have your virtual space , feel comfortable and enjoy your time . Its been over an year it has released but devs are doing great patching up and introducing new things for the game. I really enjoy this game and i do play it whenever i like to do have some cozy atmosphere with me while i do my other irl work.
Great soundtracks which soothes your mind. The colour tone for the game is not very vibrant and not that sharp , just minimal for the best experience.
I would say you should check this one out.

After 181 hours, 97% game achievements… and exactly 0% rl tasks completed, no regrets at all.
Came here to boost productivity. Ended up redecorating my room, changing outfits for the nth time, and hunting little spirits every chance I get while jamming to music.

If you struggle with getting work done due to motivation, and you ARE motivated by unlocking cosmetic items, then this game will absolutely work for you. There is a direct line of correlation between you sitting down to focus and you getting silly little clothes and furniture to play with, and it's done wonders for my productivity.
I wouldn't actually call this a 'game' so much as it is a gamified tool, but it does genuinely make my day easier. It's great stuff, and it feels so rewarding to get my tickets and shop around after buckling down to get work done.

I cannot function without background noise whatsoever and this app has such an awesome selection with high quality sounds. I LOVEEE that there's a cat purring sound effect it's one of my favorites, there's also plenty of radios to choose from and I'm picky and like having the same songs over and over so its nice to have the names of the tracks and the artist's names in the game itself. I haven't really used the youtube player so I can't really comment on that, and the character creation + spirit designs are pretty nice and really cute but I mostly use this for the sounds. Overall very very lovely I highly reccomend!!!!!

As a grad student who always listens to lofi while working, this game is perfect for me! It sets a perfect cozy study vibe and I love that I feel rewarded for the time I spend focusing on school. I find that the timer is especially helpful for remembering to drink water. I also love that I can change the lighting, sounds, and my avatar's clothes to match my own environment! Really fun way to make my work less stressful, and the mechanics of luring in new spirits are both exciting and a great way to keep the game minimally distracting. This is definitely a new study time essential for me :)

I was on the search for a calm, cozy little idle game that I can tab in and out of when I want a break from the grind of my other games / activities and this game is just the thing!
I really like the to-do list function. I am constantly procrastinating and having this as an idle objective and getting levels (which means more tokens to grab cute new decor/outfits/etc) is such a great idea!
The art style and decors are adorable. The customization options are beyond cute with the great addition of the colour wheel, so you can really make your space/character yours. I really like being able to decorate my own space, be able to change the vibe (with the weather options for example); The Spiritdex where you get hints to try and lure out these adorable Spirit pets calls to my collecting nature.
Since I was able to choose YouTube as my zen music and put on my own playlist, in this case, the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 soundtrack that lives rent free in my head as my background music is a nice touch! The music that the game already provides is very relaxing and you can choose from their playlist of what sort of vibe you're going for. So, I'll be swapping between the YouTube and provided game tunes depending on what I'm in the mood for.
Having "presets" so you can decorate more, easily swap between the customizations is another fantastic feature.
I'm definitely getting positive vibes from Spirit City and I definitely recommend this, especially to anyone that struggles with concentration and procrastination - or if you just want to try out a cute game where you can customize your character, area, collect cute pets and decor, etc..!

I have ADHD and this has been a game changer for me. I got a second monitor this year and more often then not I end up distracted rather then getting tasks done. Having this on my second monitor keeps me engaged, organized, and provides continuous little dopamine hits that my brain craves every time I get to check off a task as done or level up and can reward myself with a new customization option. It's essentially personalized body doubling, and I can't recommend it enough.
