It started out great but then I got to a part that didn't have English subtitles, then got stuck outside of the map and had to reload, then couldn't figure out a puzzle so just threw in the towel. Also having to flip through every page of the journal every time you find something new is exhausting.

Very nice horror game with elements of survival, even if the movements of the character are really very wooden in different areas of the game. Discreet sound system, but the sound of our character's footsteps is unbearable. Very well done graphics, it manages to make the village at night probable a bit like Outlast 2 did. For the rest, I didn't understand almost anything because the ending, like many other sections of the game, is entirely in untranslated Chinese.

I don't recommend this game. Not for everybody. Only because I believe this game is meant for those familiar with Asian culture and folklore. Subtitles don't do the game justice because so much is lost in translation. There were even parts that didn't translate at all. Chinese dialogue with Chinese subtitles. Without proper translation you can't follow the story. Nothing makes sense. Please don't take that as disrespect towards anybody. I'm just saying that needs more tuning from that perspective. If it were teaching me as I played then I'd be cool with it.
On to the gameplay... It's slow paced. The atmosphere isn't scary or spooky and the jumpscares are meh. This game stutters bad. I was dropping 50+ frames every couple seconds. I had to drop down to medium resolution and turn the mouse rotation speed way down. I even checked to see if my drivers were up to date, same issue. I didn't play long mainly because of this.
