Surprisingly fun and worth the price. Hoping we get a sequel or something.

The Peacecorp lady really shows the true escence of the game, and I love it!
Oh, and about the game: cool graphics, great music, awesome style (the 80s!), many mullets (pff, I mean come on, yes), robots with blood and skin (combining cool things, cool, cool).
This game is a must if you want a fast paced boomer-shooter with great feeling of... DOPAMINE.

Really fun. Reminds me of Post Void. I recommend playing with M+KB for maximum accuracy. Head shots will thank you.

Honestly has to one of the best fast pace indie shooters I have played. Graphics and art style are an easy 10/10 the way it combines 90's video games with a 90's vaporwave/cyberpunk aesthetic is just beautiful. Gameplay is top notch too the way u can just run through hordes of enemies. My one complaint is that in endless mode that u can chose what upgrades to replace when you're maxed out on upgrades but it doesn't impact the experience. Def give this game a try easy 9.5/10 for me.

this game is a blast, honestly it's so visually good looking, the aesthetic is so cool.
don't feel threatened about all the ''10 seconds'' and that, just be quick but don't be nimble this jack ain't about being naive!
you will have a good time if u played games like doom: eternal, postal brain damaged, ultrakill, etc.
and don't worry about the game being 3 and a half hours long, there's an endless mode!
To satisfy all your dopamine needs!

So, just to get this out of the way first: If you're expecting deep gameplay—and why you would for a game called Mullet Madjack, I don't know—you're going to be disappointed. This game is a one-trick pony, and if you don't like the trick, then by god you're not going to like this game. I, however, am an oaf, so I love the gameplay here.
Everything in this game—kicking down enemies, blowing their heads off, destroying their metal balls—has amazing feedback, and feels good. There are upgrades, but the game's roguelike upgrades are largely based around either upgrading an existing stat or giving you a random chance at something. I think that the game's upgrade system would have benefited from the ability to give players more new abilities, or with more emphasis or making the upgrades more synergetic with each other, but at the end of the day it doens't matter too much. The gameplay is fun, end of story.
The only way I can describe this game's plot is "what it's probably like to be one of those funny-men on Twitter that sometimes dunks on idk Elon Musk or something but you just killed people." There's a very particular flavor to the main character's one-liners that just screams 2020–2023 Twitter—I can't really tell you if they're still up to date because I left that website a few years ago. It's sometimes funny, but the one-liners can also get pretty overbearing (like yes, Mr. Jack, we get it, it's time to touch grass).
The Peace-corp lady is cute, but her dialogue consists of either little quips or the occasional old meme; I'm warning you now, she will tell you to do a barrel roll.
In general, this game doesn't have characters, but influencers, if that makes any sense—they do one thing, they have one emotion, they have one purpose. This would piss me off in most other games, but Madjack makes it work—you don't have to care about the characters in the slightest.
Mullet's one-liners are the best summary of this game's writing—much like its gameplay, visuals, and everything else, is not subtle, and very informed by the sort of attitudes and politics you find on social media. You're getting a rant about consumerism by a billionaire robot, you're getting satirical ads shoved in your face, your character screams about killing billionaires—I don't find any of these things disagreeable or wrong, but this game makes Paul Verhoeven look subtle.
Finally, the game's price. Fifteen bucks is a bit steep for a game this short, but it's also $15 going to a pretty small team of developers in Brazil—most AAA games, which are now over quadruple the price, have the same depth of gameplay and worse writing (i.e. Forespoken). This game is about the price of a movie ticket, and lasts a bit longer than the average movie. Get the game on sale if you want to save a few bucks, but it's not that big of a deal to me.
I feel like I've been very harsh with this current review, but I actually like the game quite a bit. I would recommend that you play the demo, because if you don't like that, you're not going to like Mullet Madjack.

It's pretty cool and stylish - particularly in a way I find to be pretty inspiring - but I do wish there was a bit more to it. A majority of the gameplay is you running down corridors and killing enemies only because it extends your timer. Once I tried out the Katana, my winning strategy was to keep swinging and smacking dudes on my way to the exit. That gets a bit tiring after a while.
Early on, before I noticed the repetitive nature of the level design and gameplay loop (sometimes the next level would almost be identical), I had thought that maybe this was a game taking a page out of Neon White's playbook. You know, designing a game around a mechanic that forces you to play fast and kind of teaches you to speedrun it. And I mean, sort of? Just saying it could have been so much more.
I did have fun though. It's the kind of game you play for like 3 and a half hours and then go "Yup, that's pretty much it. Good way to spend the evening."

I thoroughly enjoyed this!
Beat it on Challenge mode and the style, the fast-paced gameplay, the music... Everything was great!
It has enough progression to keep you entertained from floor to floor, and introduced some variety in every 10 to 10 floors, either by way of upgrades or introduction of new challenges.
Overall really fun, would recommend this for anyone who loves high octane shooting games

Mullet Mad Jack is an absolute blast from start to finish, seamlessly blending old-school, fast-paced shooter action with roguelite elements that keep you coming back for more. From its awesome retro visuals to its pulse-pounding soundtrack, the game nails the nostalgic vibe while delivering a fresh and exhilarating experience. Every session left me craving "just one more chapter," as the addictive gameplay loop and breakneck speed kept me glued to the screen. Even if it is a rather short game clocking in between 3-4 hours to beat on challenging diff, well, at least for this 40 year old dad.
If I had to nitpick, my only complaint is that I want MORE. More levels, more playable characters with unique weapon unlocks and voice lines, and a deeper dive into the roguelite mechanics. The foundation is so strong that it’s impossible not to imagine how much further the developers could take this concept. Mullet Mad Jack has the potential to be an even bigger, bolder experience, and I’m here for it.
EAT THE ROBOBILLIONAIRES!!!
