Killing Floor - Community Weapon Pack 2 DLC

Following on from the success of the first Community Weapon Pack, we asked the IJC crew to think up something to match with the whole Steampunk theme for the summer event. And they rose wonderfully to the challenge.

These weapons are decent and only improve your selection of weaponry. They are designed with a steam punk theme. The Zed Thrower is actually a Pancor Jackhammer, is fully automatic and is an okay gun. It doesn't hold much max ammo however, so pack a reliable secondary. The damage is pretty weak unless you're a high level Support and the magazine size isn't that great, but it reloads all of its shells at once. There's also sort of a weird knockback alt fire than can keep scrakes at bay for quite some time. Can serve as a poor man's AA12. The Single Pistol Long Musket is actually a very useful addition to your arsenal and serves as a stronger replacement for the Lever Action Rifle (or Winchester for veterans of the Killing Floor mod). The only thing wrong with it is the scope, which is misleading and can be very difficult to aim with. Honestly, I'm not sure why this hasn't been corrected, I'd imagine it would be a simple fix. Dr. T's LDS is a steampunk tommy gun which, according to the stat bars, sports better range than the Thompson and the Rising Storm tommy. This hasn't been tested by me because a) who uses a submachine gun at long range? and b) whatever its range is its more than within effective range at most places on most maps. It also sports a drum magazine, giving it more magazine size than the Thompson but still less than the Rising Storm tommy. The ironsight is actually pretty original and interesting, while not making it difficult to aim. Last is the Orca Bomb Propeller. Its basically the normal grenade launcher but the grenades bounce upon impact with a wall or floor, still detonating on impact with zeds. This CAN allow you to shoot around corners, but its just not very practical. Other than that, there's no real reason to choose this over the normal grenade launcher (for you level 6 demolitionists out there who spawn with the regular). May as well get it on sale, its not worth 8 dollars.

This DLC is somewhat hit and miss but it can work for you. -Dr.T Lead Delivery System is a very nice custom Thompson. If you don't have Rising Storm for that other thompson, this is a must have weapon for Commando, Deals more damage than the M4, not as much as the AK47 but it's recoil makes it very manageable, and remember, use Semi-Auto. -Multichambered Zed Thrower.... personally, is worse than the Seeker Six: It weights 10 blocks and it does little damage, sure you can push zeds forever, since it doesn't eat any ammo, but it can be a troll weapon to annoy people. -Orca Bomb Propeller is a interesting weapon, it deals slightly less damage than the M79, if you miss your target, it will bounce and explode a short time later or after hitting some other enemy. It's very useful for shooting through corners, but sadly it doesn't cost a little bit less than the M79 -Single Piston Long Musket. The only problem I have with this gun, is the sight. DON'T guide yourself with the pointed part of the triangle, use the empty zone of the triangle'ish crosshair. But taking that out, is an upgraded LAR that you can fully reload, and deals more damage than the previously mentioned LAR. As always, buy on Sale, cuz overpriced KF DLC's.

multichamber is hot ass unfortunately. all of the others are solid weapons, but if you actually have RS2 then the Rising Storm thompson is better bodyshot musket is misaligned. aim slightly to the left.

my ranking for each weapon best to worst 1: the long musket has a very large range and is very good at taking out scrakes its amazing on both large and small maps and packs a punch for medium and large zeds and in my opinion is the center piece of this weapon pack 2: the delivery system is one of the cheapest and best trash killers early game but has a very tight ammo and starts to fall of at around round 4-5 3: the Orca bomber is a very good secondary for demo but is more for trash killing than bigger zeds and also starts to fall of on later rounds 4: the zed thrower in my opinion is more of a gimmick weapon added in as flavor text its kinda expensive for what your getting it has a very wide spread and is not very good with large crowds of zeds on top of that the sights are very innacurate and kinda wonky so i would suggest u use this early round then trash it right after all in all most of the weapons in here are very good for early round but start too falloff a bit later if your playing long mode except the long musket that thangs pretty swag :3

Very fun pack. The support blunderbuss lets you push zeds back for free, at the click of a button. The sharpshooter musket is a quick loading headshot MACHINE, for pretty cheap. The demo cannon is a reskin of the normal grenade launcher, with higher damage in trade of a worse drop off arch. And the commando tommy gun is just a tommy gun.

Killing Floor 1 will always be in a league of its own. Nothing else even comes close to the sheer atmospheric zombie slaying fun. Does not matter if you play solo or co-op. These new weapons only accentuate and multiply the fun.

They aight and match the steampunk player skins, if that's what you're after. Dr. T's delivery system is also good for Commandos. Not a bad investment.

I can only just BARELY recommend this DLC, the shotgun (Multi-Chambered Zed Thrower) is terrible, don't use it, every other shotgun outshines it. The Single Piston Long Musket is a cool weapon, however if your not good with headshots, it's crap. Dr T's Lead Delivery System is fantastic with the Rising Storm tommy gun, you can have 2 Tommy guns with a lot of ammo and really good damage. The Orca Bomb Propeller is the same as the normal grenade launcher, however the projectile doesn't expolde on contact, instead it's timed, it's my favourite of the weapon pack. Not as good as the others by a long shot, but still really good.

The Community Weapon Pack 2 for Killing Floor has a steampunk theme, but the weapons are pretty enough that they get a pass for the overused aesthetic. I kind of wish they had stuck with Killing Floor's theme of dark, gritty modern day survival, but KF1 is campy enough that it manages to work anyway. Anyway, two of the weapons are useful enough for me to label this a useful DLC like Weapon Pack 1. I wouldn't say this DLC is essential like the first one, but it's more useful than Weapon Pack 3 is. Buy this for the musket and the bomb propeller; consider the steampunk Tommy gun (sorry, "lead delivery system") a bonus and ignore the zed thrower on Hard difficulty or above. Buy it on sale, though: it's still a Killing Floor DLC. Dr T's Lead Delivery System: A Tommy gun with a drum magazine, slightly better accuracy and a slightly slower reload than the one in the first weapon pack. If you can get used to the steam shooting out near the ironsights whenever you fire, this is a good earlygame primary weapon or lategame sidearm for Commando. Orca Bomb Propeller: Literally an M79 grenade launcher that lets you bounce grenades, which are shaped like little bombs. Does less damage than the other grenade launchers and has a shorter range, but actually lets you arc your shots like you're firing a mortar. Overall, it's a good tactical sidegrade that's fun to use and lets you pull off some useful moves such as firing around corners. Single Piston Long Musket: An upgraded version of the lever-action rifle with a scope and magazine, technically a steampunkified Lee Enfield bolt-action rifle. Also fun to use and useful in the hands of a good Sharpshooter, although the scope sight is a little off: apparently the true center of the reticle is in the middle of the arrow, and not the tip of the arrow. Not great at crowd control, so pack a sidearm if you can. Multichamber Zed Thrower: Easily the worst weapon in this DLC. It's a weaker AA12 with an alternate fire mechanism that pushes specimens back and has infinite ammo. The altfire has its uses, but it's not strong enough for use on higher difficulties, and the zed thrower overall doesn't have enough of a punch (or enough of an ammo reserve) for a tier 3 weapon.

Overall 5/5 You don't just want this DLC. You NEED it. You have to have it. You gotta have it. You MUST own it. It's THAT good. THIS IS THE GREATEST DLC WEAPONS PACK EVER CONCEIVED BY ANYONE EVER. These weapons are fun, unique, novel, BEAUTIFULLY designed, and SHINEY. I found that I spent a lot of time just marveling at the beautiful textures on the guns. Multi-Chambered Zed Thrower 2/5 A bit of a miss with this one. It is purely a gimmick gun at this point. It's quite weak, has very little ammo and therefore not practical to use in the field at all. Though it's secondary fire is a knock back with infinite ammo. I can't say the small back of pressurized air is particularly useful though. Single Piston Longmusket 6/5 This is my FAVORITE weapon on killing floor. I hated sharpshooter prior to this gun. This gun has the most satisfying headshots out of any other gun. It's sights are a bit off, as the true center of the retical is actually in the middle of the arrow, and not the tip of the arrow. This gun in the hands of a high level sharp shooter is DEVASTING. Imagine a semi automatic lever action rifle that has a higher headshot damage modifier, and reloads from a cartridge instead of individual bullets. Once trained to use it, you will feel completely broken. Doctor T's Lead Delivery System 5/5 This is my go to weapon on my level 6 comando. I sell my AK at the start to buy this gun. It has a clip of 50 on a level 6 comando, which lets you fire and never stop. It's got amazing headshot capabilities much like the bullpup, and good range as well. It has the combined long ranged headshot abilities of a bullpup but the shotgun ability of an AK-47 all wrapped up into one neat little gun. Orca Bomb Propeller 5/5 Every demo needs to have the capability of choosing this weapon. The grenades on this grenade launcher BOUNCE. Which means you can do trick shots. On narrow cornered maps you can bounce of walls to hit your targets. Hit your targets behind walls, over cover, down and around cornered stairs, you name it. This weapon is not suitable for every map, but on tight maps, you'll wish you had this gun. Every demo knows that tight maps are suicide for a demo, but a skilled orca user can use demo on any map.
