The portrait is horrible, to the point that its clear the Swedish developers are trying to put down their more attractive neighbors to the west. Reminds one of the old joke,
What good thing does Sweden have that Norway doesn't?

I would recommend this pack, only because the default alternative looked much worse. However, this is one of the worse portraits Paradox have done. Ethnic scandinavians are known for being very handsome and having striking nordic looks. However, these portraits are hideous! Especially, the women. The skintone looks unhealthy and the flesh has a purplish undertone. I hope Paradox releases a patch to "fix" this or atleast release a sequel to this portrait pack. I recommend they use the same artists they did for the Norman and German portrait packs, those look beautiful!

Honestly, it doesn't seem really fair and rational pay for these kind of details that should be within the game.
But if you are just like me and despite of the non-sense still insists spending your money in this type of garbage, I wouldn't recommend specifically the Norse Portraits.
For real, the faces are better without the dlc.
Their appearance is very weird, they are grayish, their skin seem to be darker as it should be, plus you can't identify who is old (+50 age) if you don't pass your mouse on it to pop up the age, cause they look the same.
Also the helmets, masks and other objects disturbs me. You can't say who is male or who is female without seeing deeper information.
I was expecting much more from viking's portrait

This is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the worst portrait sets for Crusader Kings II (alongside the Russian portraits). The bizarre blue-skinned Norse Portraits are completely out of keeping with the rest of the game, and have really not aged well.
At this stage, the pack requires a similar treatment to the original Greek designs; a complete refurbishment and bundling into the core game.

This isn't a bad portrait pack, but it has one major flaw : all women look the same. Look at the screenshots and you'll see that all female characters have the exact same facial features, with haircut and hair color being the only difference between one portrait and another. The male characters look pretty good, though.
If I could toggle the male portraits on and the female portraits off, it'd be a great piece of DLC, but I kind of regret buying it because of this.
