Not recommended! The faces look very orange and are just ugly. To make matters worse, there's currently a glitch that messes up the eyes of male Mediterreanean characters, and it makes them look hilarious, possesed, and even more ugly. Until that glitch is fixed, stay away from this!

Since Horse Lords, this pack no longer seems to work. Every Greek, Armenian, Georgian, and Jew are using the default Western Germanic portraits, and honestly, it is extremely stupid. This pack helps make the game have more flavour, and having that flavour suddenly not appear despite paying for it is not exactly fun. I don't exactly like looking at Greeks who don't look like any Greek I know. Same goes for the Italians, who no longer are supported either. FIX NOW.

Once upon a time the Mediterranean portraits were fine. To some they looked like potatoes. To me they were perfect. After some patch something happened to their eyes. They became weired and alien. Nothing that could not be fixed. One day, after another patch something had happened. The beloved potato men of the Mediterranean were no more. The once proud peoples of Italy and Iberia suddenly found themselves looking like the whitest of the white men of Central Europe. The men of the east - the Greeks, Armenians, Georgians and the Jews - were robbed of their attractive countenances and found themselves looking like something ripped from a certain American cartoon where the populace has four fingers and are plagued with chronic jaundice. Ugly, ugly, ugly like the other new portraits.
Where I come from we have a saying - if it ain't broke don't fix it. Sure Paradox managed to break the portraits near the end, but that fix was like fixing a loose nail in the floorboards with a sledge hammer.

This is the best portrait pack made for CK2. The Eastern Romans, Armenians, and Jews are the best looking peoples within Europe now. Whilst a few of the ugly remaining potato white people, and most of the potato middle eastern people remain, Paradox is getting closer to making people look less like double-chinned clay models.

Yeah, so it's no longer really a Mediterranean portraits pack as it is a Greek portraits pack. But, it's a whole lot better now, even if the amount it gets used has been reduced.

A recent patch replaced the rather inaccurate Mediterranean Portraits with more accurate Byzantine portraits. You can ignore a lot of old reviews now, the current portraits this DLC provides are excellent and accurate.

Before= Hideous monsters that some wanted to put down, Included italians, iberian, byzantine and jewish.
Now= Almost like Turkish but more mediterrian, Includes Byzantine and Jewish races (and more?)
Its 10 times better than last time (sad that Italians and Iberians arent included with it)

Paradox has to update this DLC page in order not to misinform.
- The portraits look immensly better now. No longer the potato people of the Mediterran.
- This portrait pack does now only change EASTERN mediterran ethnicites or byzantine. Those are: Greek, Armenian Georgian and the Israelite/Jewish Cultures Ashkenazi and Sephardi.
- For western mediterran you need the Iberian portrait pack, which includes Castillian, Catalan, Portuguese, Andalusian, Visigothic and Italian.
