This game is proof that if a god exists, they are not merciful in the slightest and only want us to suffer.
The breakdown:
The game is excruciatingly laggy and the input is delayed, so good luck honing your Mario skills into this dumpster fire. The game is not resource intensive, it's barely packing 2GB of files nor are the graphics anything to email home about. Yet, it lags horrendously like it's trying to run Death Stranding at maximum settings on a keyboard taped to a 1960s fridge.
This game only uses around 500MB of memory and even with 8GB of RAM that I currently have, it does not allow consistency. For as hard as Getting Over It is, at least it's functional.
The game's difficulty mainly stems from a lack of consistency due to the chronic lag, making even the first jump much more difficult than it needs to be. It is possible, but rarely due to your skill and instead being based on if the game lagged correctly so you jump at the correct time.
Edit: In response to the dev's response from the initial review. For a first game, it's still subpar. I don't know how it performs this poorly but it clearly still needs some work and additional testing. I'll issue an apology that I was not aware that this was the first game that the dev made, but there is still a lot to be improved. The concept is excellent, don't get me wrong, but the performance of the game kills any potential fun.

wow, i must say that i really enjoy this game so far, unlike other "rage quit" titles that i always quit playing them after short time playing, in this game you can run and cry your fate off, as you will keep failing and starting again and again. The rest off the game meanwhile is also fun cause you don't know what's coming next and you can end up at the bottom in a second. It's funny if you think about it! The graphics is gorgeous and it's considerably cheap. Finally, if you liked the game Getting Over It, you'll love this game too. Recommended!
