If you enjoy exploring and point and click games, this classic "Indiana Jones"-style game may be something for you. It's not directly a point and click, but it has the standard find the item; combine to use. What i like with this game is the funny interactions between the characters, the variated puzzles and the exitement of crypt exploring. The camera view is mostly locked but they manage to get away with it as they kept direction fixed when camera change angle and you do mostly see the whole scene. If i could wish something more for this game it would be more stealth, the game could have been less forgiving and a bit more open. Also if you don't like puzzles and thinking you might be in a bit of problem, if you can't solve it you won't be able to progress any more in the game. The puzzles difficulty vary a lot.

Unfortunately it's pretty much the same as Episode 1. Different setting and different puzzles though. But somehow some of the puzzles got even worse. Some of them now require just sheer luck and timing instead of intelligence which results in pure frustration. Let's see how Episode 3 fares. [Rating: 60/100]

TL;DR: Good 2nd Episode of Adam's Venture series of puzzle adventures. If you are reading this you might or might not have played Episode 1 already. In case you didn't, it matters little because the story didn't advance a lot in the first one. You are still Adam Venture, an overconfident guy basically masquerading Indiana Jones. Story-wise, the second episode completely outperforms the first episode: When you return from the (small spoiler alert:)
failed
excursion to the Garden of Eden you are suddenly detained and jailed. Like in many greater adventure games of past, the action begins when you have to break out of jail. Then you can proceed to sneak around the camp site. Unfortunately there is not much real stealth involved. Mostly you'll just have to search the camp site and see the guards roam in the background with no chance to get caught. It's still whole lot more intense than the ghost from the first episode at least for the first play-through when the illusion of tension still holds. Story will guide you to Jerusalem and to find out what Clairvaux Corporation (also known as
the Big Baddie
) is scheming about. Being a puzzle adventure the puzzles are important. It was a pleasure to find that this time they make more sense than in the cryptic caves of Episode 1. They are also more challenging and therefore more interesting. The only weird one was the moving platforms puzzle where Adam can't jump over a simple rope to another platform. Adam's an irritating protagonist, thinking himself as super competent but getting outperformed by Eve, his co-partner. Despite seeing her in action he still thinks he's better than her. This works as a drama tool, as funnily enough he gets called for it numerous times by Eve. There are still issues with the objects other than characters not casting shadows, making the surroundings and distances harder to perceive. Fortunately there are less circumstances where this is shown so it matters less. After the dullness that was Episode 1, Solomon's Secret is a breeze of fresh air. Like its predecessor, it lasts for only 2-3 hours but is much more enjoyable. It ends in a cliffhanger for the conclusion in Episode 3, so you'll be wanting to have that one as well. I'd recommend getting all three episodes on bundled together on sale, though if you want to you could simply skip the first one because there's not much story there to speak of.

Adam's Venture is a simple puzzle adventure game that has an Uncharted feel, yet has no action and has very repetitive puzzles. The game is broken up into 3 episodes, where each episode is about 90 minutes long. The character's movement is glitchy which can cause some issues during some platforming sequences. The graphics and voice acting are OK, however if you're looking for an adventure game you should look towards games made by TellTale or LucasArts.

Adam's Venture is a simplistic puzzle adventure game. This second episode can be completed in roughly 2 hours. The puzzles are extremely easy and the gameplay feels like a dumbed down Tomb Raider game. Voice acting and the animations are reasonably done. There's not a whole lot of variety to keep it engaging.

Just like the first, I recommend this game for kids, young teens, or those in general looking for a very easy puzzle game with some humorous dialouge. The puzzles are easy, and the voice acting is mediocre, but it's still a nice enough game. I completed all achievements in 2.1 hours, and only used the help of a guide to make sure I wouldn't miss chests this time around seeing as there is no way to go back to someone once you pass it (a mistake I made while playing episode 1). Overall it's a fine game, nothing special but i'd recommend it as an easy puzzle game.

It's no secret...Adam Venture's adventure is okay at best. If you have played the first one...then you know what to expect from this game. There are some improvements like more varied environments and some slightly more challenging puzzles...but there are some worse things too...like the painful storyline and the "romance" between our two heroes. I'd only recommend this to people who find it on sale and have played the first and just really, really want to finish the series.

I still don't know why i bother to play this game; I suppose after buying the whole pack, i was determined to finish all three games, even if theyre terrible, terrible games. Anyway, Adam's Venture Episode 2 (seriously, I can't believe they made a second one) picks up where the previous game left off, except it turns out after stopping the evil professor guy ( I seriously can't be bothered remembering his name) the company you work for (yea forgot them too) take you in as prisoners, for no apparent reason. You escape and find Solomon's Temple. Like literally thats the plot. While as before it has a few interesting puzzles, they're still far too easy. Graphics and gameplay are identical to the previous game, and as a result, is still just terrible. Writing and characters are bland, uninteresting and badly written. If you've played the previous game, and you really, really want to know what happens, then I suggest you write your own fan-fiction, because it'll be better than this.

Pleasant 2nd episode to this series. More of the same with good looking graphics and simple adventure puzzles to solve with some random action here and there. Simple game with not much investment or time required.
