This is experimental abstract art for VR with shifting optical patterns & audio-visual design in mind. As such, this experience isn't for everyone. If you enjoy experimental art exhibits made for VR, then you may enjoy this. It's about 10 minutes long, however, it can last much much longer if you really take your time to enjoy the exhibit. In fact, I recommend you take a lot longer than 10 minutes because you will miss a lot if you don't stop and take in the art.
Unfortunately, I do think there is an issue with the audio. I don't know the artists personally, but I can't imagine they intended the audio mix in this game as it currently stands. It just seemed like a mess at times with certain audio being too loud and it just sounded muddy. I think the audio is meant to sound crisp & clear with good spatial audio to really make the audio-visual standout from this experience. I hope there is an update soon that fixes the audio.
Game / app is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting steady 90 fps. You can only control going forward or going back or looking backwards or forwards (180 snap turning). I strongly suggest looking back as often as possible and also maybe walking back a bit. You will start seeing things and probably think you're going mad.
I think I enjoyed this experience (I'm still debating it). It's definitely out there though. I would like to re-visit this experience with better audio. I do recommend it if you enjoy trippy, artistic experiences.

If you like psychedelic VR experiences this wont disappoint. Well worth the low price. I took my time, going backwards a few times as it seemed to change on the reverse. I can see myself revisiting in the future. A+

As soon as you enter House of Moiré, you discover a universe with psychedelic visuals and intriguing sounds. The mixture of geometric shapes, antico-futuristic architecture, and optical effects alter our perceptions while the sound work transports us even further into this parallel world.
As I progressed, I had the impression that a mystery was hidden in the different rooms. Perhaps someone (or something) was observing me... This sensation makes me want to explore House of Moiré even more. I hope that the developers are working on new features with interactions that will enhance the sense of mystery even further...

House of Moire is not a game, but an immersive abstract art experience where you get to move slowly through an evolving gallery of moire-inspired graphics animations, coupled with experimental sound design. The audio is immersive and presented in spatial audio so be sure to wear headphones. You can only move forwards and backwards at a slow pace, so be sure to look behind you as much as you look ahead. The whole experience takes about 10 minutes, but I encourage you to pause and experience the art and sound for longer. It definitely can put you in a hypnotic state. Wonderful job to the creators and excited to have more weird art experiences for VR!
