I remember playing this game when I was younger and with it being on Steam while also on sale (at least while writing this) I decided to give it a shot and honestly, I wasn't disappointed. The game with some tweaks runs super well and the fact you can run this game in nearly 4k with 60fps is amazing, the game play is smooth and its a pretty relaxing game to pick up with hours of content to live out your childhood dreams of being able to finally 100% the game!

I used to play this game back when it released fro the Xbox360. It was my favorite game and i would spend hours on it. Sadly, the disc got all scratched up and i couldn't play the game anymore. 7/2025, I grabbed the game on Steam Sale for like 3$ and everything seemed different. The game is overall boring but for me it gives a nostalgic feeling that makes me a kid again. One of the best LEGO games ever, i would recommend it for someone who wants to play the LEGO games

This is my first time playing Lego Batman: The Videogame, and as a Lego game that came out in 2008, it's a masterpiece. I 100% completed this game, which took me about 20 hours of gameplay to collect every collectible and character presented in the game. It was a fun and frustrating experience, but overall, a game I would come back to revisit the story.

Generally the ideas of this game are good and it is a heaven for completionists and collectors, since there are many secrets to explore necessitating multipley playthrouhgs. Sadly this game is hindered massively by terrible controls and camera angles. Maybe the latter isn't that terrible if you play it solo, because the camera is centered on the main character but if you use the coop mode, it regularly screws up your perspective, which makes the control problems even worse. Precise jumps are quite hard to pull off and later on in ice levels it gets extremely frustrating, especially, when you can't clearly see from the cameras POV, which places you can actually stand on and not. Also ladders are a pain in the rear, even worse than in the original Half Life.

Lego Batman is just such a nostalgic and fun series of games. Played these as a kid and now I'm playing them again as an adult. Still just as fun and I'd highly recommend it.

Jumping into LEGO Batman was like finding a secret toy chest packed with humor, action, and nostalgia—all wrapped up in that classic LEGO charm. This game doesn’t take itself seriously, and that’s exactly why it works so well. It’s a joyful romp through Gotham’s craziest corners, with Batman and Robin cracking jokes as they smash bricks and baddies. From the moment I stepped into LEGO Gotham, I was grinning. The city is a vibrant playground filled with clever LEGO twists on iconic locations—from Arkham Asylum to the rooftops of Gotham Tower. Every level feels alive with witty details that made me stop and chuckle more than once. The character designs are pure gold. Seeing villains like The Joker, Penguin, and Catwoman rendered as LEGO minifigs added a layer of playful fun that kept me engaged through every mission. The controls are simple and responsive, making it accessible whether you’re a seasoned gamer or just playing for laughs. The mix of puzzle-solving, combat, and platforming hits a perfect balance. I loved switching between Batman’s gadgets and Robin’s skills, each bringing something unique to the table. Co-op mode is an absolute blast. Teaming up with a friend to tackle challenges and explore levels added a new level of fun and chaos. Plus, LEGO games always nail that rewarding “click-click” sound of bricks breaking, which never gets old. The story is lighthearted and silly, filled with LEGO-style jokes and parodies of classic Batman tropes. It doesn’t aim to be a serious Batman tale, but it still hits the beats in a way that fans will appreciate. The voice acting is hilarious, with exaggerated performances that fit perfectly in this cartoonish world. Collecting studs, finding hidden minikits, and unlocking characters gave me plenty of reason to revisit levels. The variety of characters and their abilities made replaying levels with different combos feel fresh and rewarding. LEGO Batman is exactly what it sets out to be: a fun, charming, and laugh-out-loud adventure that’s perfect for players of all ages. It’s an absolute joyride through Gotham’s quirkiest corners, with enough depth to keep me coming back for more. Whether you’re a Batman fan, a LEGO enthusiast, or just looking for a lighthearted game to share with friends or family, this one’s a winner. A brick-breaking, joke-cracking good time in Gotham. Bright, fun, and packed with personality—this is LEGO gaming at its best. Rating: 8/10

Don't let the thumbs down fool you, the Lego Batman video game is still great. This is just referring to the PC port of the game. I would give this game a middle of the road review if I could. The first level was awful as it would constantly freeze and crash. I find that almost unacceptable and I wonder how it got through testing when porting this game. You have to turn on V-sync to try to avoid the crashing but even then my game still crashed from time to time. Luckily after that, the game returned to the classic Lego Batman, barring a few little glitches here and there. If you love Lego Batman and are willing to put up with the glitches the port has I say go for it.
