Astonishingly bad, amateurish, shocking game design. This DLC adds missions that appears as part of the campaign but instead of being logically integrated into the game progression, they are lightyears off. High-level enemies appear very early in the game with no regard to whether or not you are equipped to deal with them yet, or if the rewards for beating them should be available at that point. That would be bad enough, but what is even worse is the Gangplank mission that is available early in the game but is impossible to complete early in the game. Without even any warning whatsover that it's impossible to complete unless you have progressed far in the game. This DLC broke the game for me. This DLC prevented me from playing XCOM:EU. I stopped playing the game when I found the Gangplank mission impossible to complete and incredibly bad game design. Only a decade later I discovered it's part of a DLC and optional (since it's the only available mission at that point I thought it had to be completed to progress, and the in-game description makes it seem urgent and important). This DLC is not like Horse Armor and such where you pay a lot of money for utterly worthless nonsense that adds nothing to the game and has no business costing extra. This is FAR worse than that. This is a DLC that destroys an otherwise great game. It's not useless but worse, it's game-breaking. How something like this is released, boggles the mind. Why do Firaxis want to break their own game? Make sure you disable this game-breaking brainfart so you can play the game.
